A former player for the Colorado Buffaloes shares his thoughts on Shedeur’s future for the upcoming season. Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, has two of his sons- Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, who play for the team. Despite the team’s poor performance last year, Shedeur was the driving force behind the minuscule amount of success that the team saw. In a recent interview, the former three-year starter quarterback for the Buffs speaks up on Shedeur’s talent.

The Colorado Buffaloes witnessed a fall from the stars last season. They started with 3 consecutive wins but went on to lose most of their games after. Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Buffaloes, was the one good thing to come out of last season as he continued to pour his blood, sweat, and tears into the game. However, even with his phenomenal talents, the team failed to protect him and he had to be sacked a lot of times. Joel Klatt, a current renowned sports commentator, had a lot to say about their potential. Thus, Shedeur’s improper protection had Klatt pointing out the flaws in Colorado’s defense as they prepare for next season.

In a recent podcast, Joe Klatt, the former QB for the Buffaloes, was heard giving his thoughts on Colorado’s past season and what was lacking in their defense. Coach Prime’s team couldn’t survive the harshness of the league and ended their season with a 4-8 record. However, Shedeur managed to make a reputation for himself with the fans for his resilience to be sacked repeatedly during games.

Regarding the improper Colorado defense, Klatt said, “If you protect Shedeur Sanders, he will lead the country in passing. They’re talented enough on the outside and he is as good of a passer as we will have in college football next year. So if this team can protect him, then watch out for Colorado.”

Klatt further added his praise for Shedeur and said, “He was sacked 52 times last year, most by any power five quarterbacks in the last 10 years. But if they fix it to that extent and Sanders has only been sacked 15 times, then that’s a nine-win team probably, a 10- 10-win team. And again, moving into the Big 12, who knows? Maybe it comes down to that matchup with Utah at the end of the year for a potential birth in the Big 12 title game. I think crazier things have happened in college football.” Thus, it seems as if the protection of Shedeur seems to be the key to a better season for Colorado this year. Klatt has spent most of his college football career with the Colorado Buffaloes and, as such, he’s an ardent fan of Coach Prime and the team. As a result, this is what Klatt had to say about Deion dominating the transfer portal.

Klatt comments on Coach Prime’s brilliance in the transfer portal

It is widely known in the world of college football that Deion goes all out when it comes to signing new players. So far, Deion has signed over 16 new players to the team. The list of new players includes the 5-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton who recently committed to Colorado. Coach Prime’s mentality has been attracting players from all over the country. Thus, Klatt had a lot of praise for the 2-time Super Bowl winner and his talents at the transfer portal.

He said, “And this is the truth, so here are the facts. Outside of the narratives that you hear pushed by those that want to tear down Coach Prime and Colorado, Coach Prime is dominating right now in recruiting as it relates to the Big 12. Because right now, their average player rating is 90, which is No.1 in the Big 12. But you don’t hear that in some of these articles. Well, you hear it from me.” With the next season drawing to a close, the Colorado Buffaloes seem more prepared than ever as new talented players continue to join Coach Prime’s squad.
