Did Paul Finebaum just make Coach Prime more relevant with his controversial comments?

“They are irrelevant” a statement by Paul Finebaum about Colorado which a lot of people out there would agree with. However, numbers don’t lie and we can know the views and sales that Deion Sanders pulls in. Heck, they even had major viewership back in 2023 despite going on a losing streak and ending the season 4-8. It’s this brand Deion has built around himself with his social media presence and ability to market anything to anyone. And now Outkick Hot Mic gives us another perspective regarding Paul Finebaum’s comments and Deion Sanders’ relevance.

On July 21st, Outkick Hot Mic discusses Paul Finebaum’s harsh jabs against the Buffs and Deion Sanders. “Finebaum saying they’re not relevant. They are because of the number. They’re relevant because the fans are watching games with Deion Sanders on the screen,” the hosts mentioned. It is not just Deion Sanders, though. Fans go for the Buffs and their games because they have the No.1 QB and best college football player on their team. It’s not just Deion and his ability to connect with the fans through Well Off Media or The Pregame Show, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter also have a major following behind them. What’s more wild is that even if Coach Prime just retires from social media, analysts like Paul Finebaum will make him relevant all over again by trying to drag him through the mud. Outkick Hot Mic also agrees: “ESPN is asking him a question about it on SEC media days. So your network is making him more relevant.” Outkick Hot Mic further went on to explain that even if Finebaum doesn’t talk that much about Deion, those little slips will continue giving that man enough relevancy. “Paul’s stance though, he doesn’t have to talk and discuss Deion all that much based on what he’s discussing every day with his show, with his SEC Southeastern show,” they said.

And this directly explains what Shedeur Sanders meant when he told Carter Bob, “Colorado is everybody’s Super Bowl.” Every team out there wants to beat the living cr*p out of the team. Almost every analyst wants to see the Buffs lose. Outkick Hot Mic agrees with this too. “Dan Lanning and others are circling that game on their schedule to beat the sh*t out of Coach Prime,” they said. Dan Lanning is already out on his quest to hit Coach Prime and so are others. The main question that arises from all this is: Is Deion Sanders and Colorado ready for 2024?

We think Matt McChesney put it perfectly. “All the offensive linemen were helping out at camp, and I felt small, like, I’m looking up with all these motherf**kers so they are big as sh*t,” he had explained back on Coach JB and Big Smitty Show. Coach Prime has drastically changed the overall team to be more focused on protecting Shedeur in the pocket and ensuring that he gets to use that top accuracy of his.

McChesney also had the perfect advice for Deion Sanders as well. “Give these skilled players a little bit of time and support. How do you lose with a first-round quarterback and the best player in college football?” he said. And it looks like Deion has listened. With a changed o-line and upgraded defense for the team, the Buffs are all set for 2024. Coming back to Finebaum’s initial comments, Outkick Hot Mic had the perfect end response, “If he wins this year, then all of a sudden they’re relevant.” Some wins and the Buffs might end up redeeming themselves.
