Travis Hunter’s changed priorities have become the center of attention in Colorado. The electrifying two-way star player, after concluding his junior season, stepped into a huge milestone in his personal life. Travis Hunter popped the question to his high school sweetheart, Leanna Lenee, on the 4th of January, during their vacation to Puerto Rico.

It was just a month ago that the two were struck by Cupid’s bow and, celebrating that love once again, Leanna got Hunter the present of a lifetime. A miniature 3D model of one of his top plays from the 2023 season, making an interception in the Buffs vs TCU showdown, in the opening game of the season. While the gift stole the hearts and minds of fans, the concept of Lenne gifting Hunter something, instead of the traditional approach that preaches the other way around, was what got Hunter into an argument with a junior at CU.

“Should a dude get gifts on Valentine’s Day?” was the question that became a focal point of the debate. The prodigy held the belief that Valentine’s Day is a ‘women’s holiday’, where it should be the guy pampering his girl. The opinion came as a direct jibe to Leanna’s sweet gesture towards her fiance. It was simple. Hunter wasn’t going to take any of it.

Quickly putting up his defensive armor, Hunter said, “I’m not supposed to get a gift? She gave me a gift, I didn’t tell her to get me.” Safe to say, in his last season at the Buffs, Hunter is prompting his juniors to think out of their comfort zone, as he too steps into unfamiliar territory with his fiance by his side.

Travis Hunter’s relationship at CU

Hunter’s alleged changed behavior owing to the lady luck has become the talk of the town at CU. Be it Deion Sanders or Well Off Media’s Deion Sanders Jr, everyone has something to share about the couple. During a podcast with Lil Wayne, Sanders paired up with Wayne to playfully tease Travis Hunter as he didn’t attend the Super Bowl, as he wanted to spend time with his girl. “He ain’t going out, he ain’t doing nothin. He ain’t smoking drinking. He’s going to put on a onesie to play that game. That’s all he gonna do. He’d fish,” stated Coach Prime.

Moreover, Prime’s eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr also resorted to Hunter’s advice on knowing the perfect time to pop the question. “You should just go for it. Trust the process, ” was all Hunter had to say to Buckey. As Hunter gears up for the last season of his college career, his now fiance is right beside him.
