Oh-ho! That’s some reality check for Oregon Ducks and a warning for Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. Dan Lanning had a costly loss on Friday, August 9. The four-star wide receiver Isaiah Mozee has flipped his commitment. And guess who made that possible? Matt Rhule’s Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Buffs’ biggest rivals, using their five-star QB Dylan Raiola’s star power.

The Cornhuskers head coach has been already sharpening his biggest weapon, Raiola, against Deion’s Buffs, and the addition of Mozee would only solidify his team’s power. However, this has been difficult for Rhule since landing Mozee has been a lengthy pursuit.

Right from the beginning, Mozee was not quite sure about his moves. Finally, the WR made up his mind. The 6-foot, 190-pound player, who accumulated 2,388 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns on 173 catches, had been on Nebraka’s radar for quite some time now, and finally, the day came when Mozee committed to Rhule’s program.

The WR’s connection to the Cornhuskers goes back several years. Mozee was in attendance during the 2022 junior day. Even though he found faith in Lanning’s Ducks, what made him change his mind? The phenom has copied NFL star Patrick Mahomes, from his style statement to his gameplay. Besides, it seems that the WR followed in his father’s footsteps. Mozee is the son of the former Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North High coach Jamar Mozee, who, too, landed on Rhule’s staff as a senior offensive analyst in July.

The Nebraska HC, on the other hand, is on cloud nine. Why wouldn’t he? After all, Mozee is known for his strengths in taking screens and quick passes. Besides, his talent of quickly switching directions to throw off opposing coverage gives him an edge on the gridiron. With this addition, Rhule can now sleepwalk his way to victory over Deion’s Buffs.

Have an interesting take?

How did Raiola become Nebraska’s crown jewel?

No matter how much Rhule tries to flatter Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders with the “best” tag, in his squad, he is cooking up the best scheme to seek revenge on Deion’s program. And who’s going to be the top dog in Nebraska? Of course, the son of former Nebraska OL Dominic Raiola, Dylan. How did Rhule fall head over heels for his five-star QB?

“A lot of guys with that type of arm talent, they can’t handle getting hit. Whereas, what I like about him is he has pressure all around him and he still has the courage and the feel to move within the pocket, to create enough space to be able to make that throw down the field. I don’t know if you can coach that,” claimed the Cornhuskers HC. But what makes Raiola so special that Mozee is attracted to play beside him in Nebraska?

It’s his vision to be like Kansas City Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes so much so that Raiola flew to Kansas City in April after throwing two touchdowns and 239 years in the Spring game. And what was the purpose? To receive the guidance of Bobby Stroupe, the famous trainer who schooled Mahomes since the QB was in his fourth grade. With Raiola and Mozee in Rhule’s corner, Deion should probably check his stress levels!
