With the 2024 NFL draft day just hours away, Drake Maye is generating the buzz. There is one thing, however, that is making a bigger buzz alongside Maye: his favorite QB. “I was a big Aaron Rogers fan,” confessed Drake Maye in the Dan Patrick show. Unfortunately, Maye’s dream of meeting Rodgers is yet to come true.

It won’t be long before it does since getting on the NFL gridiron would give Maye plenty of opportunities to confront Rodgers. McCarthy might still have his college football self thrilled to see Rodgers but he would have other pressing issues then, like leading his team to win against the touted Rodgers.

Even his fellow elite-level QB, Caleb Williams stands in solitary support with Maye’s view of A-Rod. While Rodgers is Maye’s favorite QB, for Williams he is much more. He is Williams’ football GOAT.  “My football GOAT is Aaron Rodgers,” Caleb Williams confessed. Now, along with Maye, Williams would also need to prepare to lead a win against A-Rod walking in the NFL.

The Commanders are vying for a QB at No.2. who they will hire is another question altogether. Drake Maye and JJ McCarthy are the top prospects. Right behind them in the draft lineup are the Patriots who want to secure a ‘generational talent’ QB at pick 3. The Raiders, the Vikings, and the Giants are all hot on their heels for a QB. Most of their options boil down to either Drake Maye or JJ McCarthy. Despite all this, Drake Maye has given his fans the ultimate hint at his future team.

I have an idea,” Maye confessed sneakily on the Dan Patrick show when he was asked about having an idea of which team he would go to. That’s when Dan Patrick dropped the question which got the fans an idea of which team would that be.

And do you like the cold?,” Patrick asked, hinting at the extreme chilly winds of Foxborough. Maye confirmed by saying, “I don’t mind it at all. I mean, you gotta play football. Football is a cold-weather sport nowadays.” Does the response come as a confirmation from Maye’s end, or is it just a general confirmation?
