The former Colorado prodigy has been one of the most speculated entities of the college football world these past few weeks due to the several exchanges with Deion and his sons on social media. With a lot of fans going after the youngster and trolling him about his career, a reporter from the Florida Gators speaks highly of his character, adding to the claims that McClain could be a great fit in the team.
Cormani McClain, the former cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes, announced his decision to enter the transfer portal and leave Boulder. Later, he revealed in an interview how he felt the team played more for “clicks” rather than the actual sport itself. This led to backlash from Deion and the Colorado fans who went at the CB’s throat for weeks on social media. But now, it looks like he’s ready to resurrect his career as his character attributes draw in a song of appreciation from the reporter for the Florida Gators.

The former 5-star prospect might be interested in heading to Florida and playing for the Gators as he’s met with the team already. Additionally, he also has offers from universities like Oregon, Texas, and even FSU, but the possibility of playing for the Gators is drawing in more traction than anything. While Deion earlier claimed that the Buffs couldn’t challenge McClain enough, Torre seems to believe that the Gators will help him develop efficiently, regardless of whether he fits in the roster or not.
Cormani McClain is slated to start his official visit with the Gators today.

Torre explained the improvement that McClain could witness in Florida and said, “Boulder and that program proved to not be what Corman McClain needed in terms of helping him develop as a player but probably more importantly, develop as a person. I don’t think Cormani McClain doesn’t fit Florida’s culture. I don’t think he ruins the culture. I don’t think he ruins the locker room at all but I think that’s something that Florida is considering and something Florida needs to find an answer to.
Furthermore, he concluded by confirming the news of Billy Napiers’ interest by adding “But I know that Florida is interested, he’s interested in Florida.” It is evident that Billy Napiers is interested in bringing McClain to the team and also, there might be a vacancy within the Gators, making it a perfect opportunity to sign a cornerback.

Even though he’s had a rocky start in Colorado under Deion Sanders, Cormani could still go on to be a generational talent in the NCAA. All he needs is a thriving environment to grow in. Billy Napiers’ Gators could definitely be one of those teams for the youngster, and as per Jacob Rudner of 247 Sports, the iron is hot, and this is the right time to strike.
Rudner commented on how McClain could scale his game way higher with the help of the Gators, “After this season, starting cornerback Jason Marshall will be out of collegiate eligibility and junior Devin Moore will be draft-eligible, so Florida sees a unique opportunity to bolster its depth at the cornerback position with McClain.” McClain’s status as a potential superstar is widely on the cards as he already displayed immense talent in Boulder. Thus, even though McClain has had a tumultuous time regarding his career, things seem to be shaping up for him since there are a lot of teams ready to sign the cornerback.
