Kristen Saban opens up on Nick Saban’s retirement

Saban’s daughter appeared crestfallen, to say the least, when speaking of his father ending his term at Alabama. “Bittersweet” was the first word she could think of. Kristen had always been a die-hard Crimson Tide fan since she was a little girl, cheering her heart away for the Redshirts. Hence, Friday morning’s call with her mother shattered that little part of her heart.

“I got a text message from my mom that morning and she’s like ‘Okay, just want to let you know we have been having kind of a conversation and we don’t know if it’s happening today for sure but I think he’s giving himself a timeline. Just a heads up.’,” commented she.

During all the important Crimson Tide games, Kristen Saban and her mother, Terry Saban were spotted waving their red flags away, channeling their inner cheerleaders. Hence the loss moved them slightly more than the hardcore Alabama fans. However, per Kristen in the same interview, “I think we are at peace with it now.”
