The Colorado Buffaloes are out in the sunshine for practice for the first time this year. Everyone’s in great spirits, including the Buffs’ new DC, Robert Livingston, who’s loving the weather. The pleasant weather gave the Buffs fresh air and accentuated their performance on the field, leading to an excellent outdoor practice start.

The Buffs’ offense took a strong stance in the first game, but the defense wasn’t far behind. Although the offense took the lead, safety Shilo Sanders still felt the defense won the day, while Coach Nelly made another special reference to a freshman for an incredible run game. All in all, today’s practice was an improvement from their first indoor spring practice.

In a recent X upload by Thee Pregame Show, Shilo Sanders stole the camera with his verdict on the first day of training outside. While the team’s offense did a pretty good job, the CEO of The Headache Gang “still maintains the Defense won the day.” He said, “We won today… We made a lot of plays today… It was great out there. I don’t have any highlights. The calls are probably so good. They don’t even get to me.”

According to Coach Neely, while the defense did pretty well on their first day outside, the Buffs’ offense took the lead to shine in their run game. One particular standout is freshman RB Micah Welsh, whom Coach Neely called the player of the day. He said of him, “He’s out there against the one defense. And he wasn’t holding back and they wasn’t holding back… Although the offense won with the passing, I was impressed with the run game.” And as the offense improves, Shilo Sanders gets even more hyped up in his defense that he even made a controversial late hit to a teammate.

Shilo Sanders bewilders fans with controversial move

Shilo Sanders was a major contributor to the Buffs’ defense last season with 54 solo tackles, four forced fumbles, and one interception. But he seems to be taking his role as the CEO of The Headache Gang a tad bit too far. In a recent practice, the 24-year-old Buffs safety landed a crushing hit on a receiver after several whistle blows.

While Deion Sanders may have overlooked the late hit, many fans and observers were quick to criticize Shilo Sanders’ undisciplined action. One comment in particular resonated, “Why would you do that to a teammate in practice?” As a senior college football player, he should set an example and adhere to the game’s rules. This incident raises concerns about his on-field discipline. While it’s clear Shilo Sanders is eager to excel on the defense, it’s crucial that he learns from this and doesn’t repeat the same mistake in the regular season.
