To put it mildly, the transfer portal of the Orange team is in shambles right now. With a losing record of 6-7, the offense line of Syracuse needs all the support they can from these commits from next year. However, that hope too seems to be going down the drain. Plenty of orange jerseys have called it quits with the team by entering the transfer portal, and the response from commits is not as great as expected.

Despite being the country’s top recruiter as deemed by analysts, Fran Brown is struggling to find ample transfers for the next season. Not a good sign for the team. The recent drive of awarding grades to various teams’ class of 2024 football pundits was not much kind to Syracuse, as the team earned a C+. Tangled in the situation, Fran Brown reached out to the ‘Transfer Portal king’ Deion Sanders for some help.

Even though he compiled the best recruits for the second consecutive time, Deion Sanders still wants to fill out some talents for crucial positions, as he mentioned in his tweet. “Dang, I (eye emoji) the portal doing the bank-head bounce. Just when I thought Santa was on his way back to the North Pole, he dipped off. Santa please drop another DT, CB, LB & 1 more Pass Rusher to Boulder,” tweeted Sanders. When the Cuse head coach Brown saw the tweet, he couldn’t help but bring the focus to his team with a comment. “@DeionSanders tell them don’t forget about Cousin @FranBrownCuse. We need them Trenches!”

It has been a year since Brown joined hands with Syracuse as their 31st head coach. The same season when Deion Sanders made the shift from Jackson state. While Sanders bagged the best recruits across the nation, Brown did a pretty commendable job himself by bringing in Kyle McCord and Fadil Diggs this season. But the real question here is: will they sustain?

Syracuse recruits this season

McCord is a talented QB, yet he struggles with handling pressure, per Orangefizz, something that Brown needs to address before stepping in the 2024 season. Georgia transfer Joshua Miller also committed to the Syracuse O-line earlier this week, along with Jackson Meeks and Zeed Haynes.

However, with the offensive line needing major restructuring, will the few transfers Syracuse had, will they be able to fill in the massive hole in the O-line? Brown has the experience of working with several teams, knowing the nitty-gritty of the sport. But, his rapport with the players and players’ talent would be in question here. What do you think?
