For the Colorado Buffaloes’ safety, Shilo Sanders, it has been a long time since his pinky finger has been bothering him. While the player even underwent surgery to relieve the discomfort, it seems, the player is far away from being relieved. As things stand, Sanders recently had to pay another visit to the doctor to reportedly get a pin removed from his finger that were inserted earlier this year during a surgery. While that already sounds painful, the sight of was definitely not easy to watch either! While it’s imperative that the pin be removed, the player went as far as to make an unusual request to his physician at the expense of his own well-being!

Shilo’s pinky finger continues to trouble him

As posted on Shilo’s official YouTube channel, Buff’s safety appeared all smiles in the video when he turned up for his appointment. However, things soon started to go downhill! With his pinky finger still needing attention, the doctor tried to rub some anesthetic gel on it to numb his sensation. However, it left the player feeling pain instead. Despite keeping a smile on his face, Sanders pleaded to the medical personnel to leave the pin alone and said, “This already hurts! Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh…Doc, don’t do me like this. I thought it was better than this. Yeah, yeah this is about to hurt, I could tell!”

Shilo Sanders’ pinky troubles date back to January when he released a surgical vlog about the operation on his injured finger. The 23-year-old safety had back-to-back ACL injuries that left his finger in a bad state. Subsequently, a pin had to inserted in the operated area to hold the tendons together. However, Shilo being Shilo, didn’t forget to add his hilarious take to this tense situation either!

Comedic prelude to Shilo’s surgery

While Shilo was being taken to the operating room, in an attempt to cope with the emotional stress he seemed to take refuge in comedy. He had a suggestion for the medical professionals, as he was found engaging in a mocking banter while lying on the hospital bed. Claiming that since he is different, normal anesthesia would not have any impact on him, the player wittily added, “I’m really built, I’m really built different, you know what I’m saying! Yeah like y’all going to need some horse tranquilizers give me down.”

And the doctors didn’t back down from participating in the funny banter either. One of them hilariously quipped, I think he does have it. I think we actually ordered them specifically for you cuz we knew you were coming!”  After hearing the doctor’s reply, the player seemed to be backtracking on his request as, within a split second after realizing what he had said, his fear started to show up. Expressing his doubt at the injection the medical staff was administering, he questioned confused, “They put horse tranquilizer for real?”
