International superstar and entrepreneur Armando Christian Pérez, better known as Pitbull is putting his money where his mouth is. Yes! With Pitbull getting FIU Stadium naming rights his brand, Voli 305 will also get a great boost. This is going to be huge for him as he has created history right here by owning the naming rights that are going to make him richer with the sale of Voli 305 in the 20,000-seat capacity FIU Stadium.
Florida International University is being paid $6 million out of it, though the term period of the deal is in question, widely reported as 5 years, but a statement from the school says it is 10 years. Whatever it may be, one thing is for sure, the deal is indeed a groundbreaking one.

After the agreement, the FIU Stadium would be rebranded as the Pitbull Stadium. This makes it the world’s first-ever athletics venue with an artist possessing the making rights. That does not stop there. By that, he also gets the right to sell his Voli 305, his vodka brand in the FIU Stadium. Since Pitbull’s debut in the year 2004 has led him to global stardom, becoming one of the most successful recording artists worldwide who has also won a Grammy. His records have dominated the charts forever. With all the Pitbull love around, this renaming came out as great news for all his fans. Plus one point for the fans who live in Florida and who can go there and live the moment of being in the stadium that is named after their idol and can drink his branded Vodka, Voli 305! The deal has made Pitbull the “official entrepreneur of FIU athletics.”

With that title, he is also going to be involved in NIL branding at the university. The perks of being a legendary singer as their official entrepreneur would be visible soon too, as he is going to create an FIU anthem. The game will receive national broadcast on ESPNU.
What does the agreement include
Van Wagner College has been the FIU Athletics third-party multimedia rights partner since 2016 and they are the ones who assisted Pitbull throughout the massive collaboration. FIU’s football program is more than 20 years old. During this long period, the team has played 5 bowl games though they did not win after the 2018 season. The naming rights of a stadium for this old program comes with many other rights too. Ranging from an anthem for FIU, attendance at one fundraising event per year, 12 social media posts per year about FIU, and involvement in NIL initiatives taken by the university.

After the partnership, Pitbull expressed how honored he felt. He said, “This partnership with FIU is a true honor and a testament to what we can achieve when we work hard,” Though it is more than just a name change which he also referred to as, “Renaming the stadium isn’t just about a name change. It’s about inspiring the community, creating opportunities and showing the world that with determination and a clear vision, anything is possible. We’re making history together, and we’re just getting started. Why dream when you can live it?”
