The tensions between the Colorado Buffaloes and the USC Trojans seem to be rising in their battle to land Julian Lewis. He could very well be the next big QB to replace Shedeur Sanders after this season in the Buffs. But he could also be a high-value addition to the Trojans since they lost their star QB Caleb Williams to the Draft this year.

Julian Lewis, the five-star quarterback, has been drawing attention from college football teams like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and even Oregon. Though he has committed to USC, it looks like Colorado could be the one team that could manage to overturn his decision. As per a former Trojans player, Lewis doesn’t even know what conference the Buffaloes play in, further strengthening the claims that USC is the team that he’ll end up choosing.

Nico Falah is confident that Lewis will play for the Trojans

On May 29th, the former center for the USC Trojans, Nico Falah, took to X to share his thoughts on why Lewis doesn’t seem to care much about the Boulder program by posting a video of him. It seemed like Lewis forgot that Colorado plays in the Big-12 conference rather than Pac-12, which is what the 5-star QB initially said.

According to Nico, the massive campaign that the Buffs’ fans are holding out in the hopes of landing Lewis is futile, since the video goes to show how unaware he is of the team’s information. “Don’t take my word for it. Take his word. He doesn’t even know what conference Colorado is in.” These are the confident words that Falah chose to caption the video with and it looks like all the Trojans’ fans are quite optimistic about Lewis’ commitment. That being said, it will take a lot more than a conference for Lewis to completely abolish the idea of going to Colorado since there’s such a strong potential for him to still change his mind.

Here’s the potential reasons as to why Colorado could change Lewis’ mind

Julian Lewis, who graduated from Carrollton High School, has a staggering record of over 96 touchdowns in two years, which makes him invaluable to the world of college football today. Thus, the war between Colorado and the Trojans seems valid since the presence of Lewis on the squad could drastically increase either of the teams’ natty chances. But while Lewis has committed to the Trojans already, here’s how the Buffaloes could still land him.

Colorado is the biggest name popping right now. Coach Prime going there really boosted their whole situation.” Lewis told On3 why he still has Colorado in his final list of potential landing spots. The admiration of Coach Prime is what makes most of the players choose Colorado but for Julian Lewis, that’s not all.

If he does come to the Boulder, he could end up being the starting QB after Shedeur leaves for the NFL next season. This could very well enhance his draft stock for when he would want to step into the world of the NFL.

Lastly, there is a familiar connection between T.C. Lewis and Deion Sanders, which might play a big role in Lewis’ final decision. Seeing as Lewis has already made over 3 appearances in Colorado to check out the program, the speculations about a potential flip from USC to Colorado are quite believable, much to the Trojans’ fans’ dismay.
