Deion Sanders is an exceptional coach and shows real passion when it comes to winning games. After coming over to Boulder, the management entrusted the HC with bringing long-lost glory back to the side. Buffs that were once the table toppers and title winners in the late 80’s, fizzled soon after.

The 2023 season began with a fairytale beginning for the Buffs as they went about beating the opposition and causing upsets in the first three games. However, the wheels fell off in an embarrassing fashion as the team could only add one win during the remainder of the season. Now the Buffs’ insider gave his analysis about the team missing out on their playoff chances. Kevin Borba reasoned saying-“His quote prior to the season about the culture of the team mashing together. And he’s like “they don’t have to like each other they just have to win games.” Something he didn’t care about culture and I think that will come back to haunt him. Or it did come back to haunt him”

Borba pointed out a major issue with Coach Prime playing new players in the team and then seeing what works best for them. Furthermore, he also shed light on the skill mismatch issue that led to the team’s downfall during the latter parts of the league. “But outside of the skill positions like receiver…When I say receiver, I’d say the position groups that did the best skill positions-wise were safeties and receivers. Corners outside Travis Hunter didn’t do well.” As Borba highlighted the issues it also comes down to the HC backing his players. Recently, one of the NCAA recruits took a jibe at Coach Prime and his mannerisms.
