In a devastating news, Georgia Bulldogs’ offensive lineman, Devin Willock, and staff member, Chandler LeCroy recently passed away in a car crash. The car crash happened on Sunday morning after the whole Bulldogs team was celebrating the success of winning back-to-back National Championships on Saturday. As per his story, he looked really happy along with the crowd celebrating the team’s victory over TCU Horned Frogs. As his Instagram story resurfaced on the internet, fans are finding it hard to accept that the 20-year-old talented OL is no longer living in this world.

Earlier, one Twitter user reposted those Instagram stories of Willock on Twitter. In his stories, he was standing on a bus and showed the gathering of the massive crowd in the parade; he was calling out his teammates and enjoying their accomplishments.

As per reports, LeCroy was driving a Ford Expedition when the accident occurred around 2.45 am on Sunday. Willock died on the spot and LeCroy was transported to a local medical facility, where she took her last breath. Apart from them, Warren McClendon, a junior offensive lineman was also in the car and sustained a few injuries as well. Notably, McClendon announced that he will be entering the 2023 NFL draft after starting 13 games for the Bulldogs this season.
The University of Georgia felt devastated after losing Willock and LeCroy

In a recent statement, the University of Georgia said, “Devin and Chandler were two special people who meant so much to the University of Georgia, our football program and our athletic department. We ask that everyone keep their families in your prayers during this very difficult time.”
The head coach of the Bulldogs, Kirby Smart, said, “Devin was an outstanding young man in every way. He was always smiling, was a great teammate and a joy to coach. Chandler was a valuable member of our football staff and brought an incredible attitude and energy every single day.”

Certainly, it will be hard for the team to get back on the field after such a devastating loss. That’s why the University said that they will provide support both mental and physical for players and other staff members dealing with this grief, which is a great initiative from the University.
