Ohio State might not have secured themselves a playoff spot this season, but their star wide receiver has secured a phenomenal milestone that has his team making headlines. The Ohio State University commit and standout wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, hailing from Hollywood, Florida, and attending Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory, is poised to receive a special 2024 All-American honor. 

Smith was named All-American during the virtual jersey presentation as part of the Road to the Dome digital series. Release at 8 p.m. ET on the 20th night, the episode premiered across the All-American Bowl’s social platforms and covered the spectacular occasion in magnificent detail. However, his recent achievement has compounded the attention coming his way.

Jeremiah Smith becomes 2024 All-American Player of the Year

Despite rumors of potential interest from Florida State and SEC programs, Smith, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound talent from Chaminade-Madonna, had a stellar senior season with 90 catches, 1,389 yards, and 19 touchdowns. Showcasing outstanding performance in the All-American Bowl, the young athlete was pronounced 2024 All-American Player of the Year. 

In a compelling fall performance, Jeremiah Smith solidified his claim as the nation’s top high school player. The physically dominant and adept route-running Florida wide receiver’s commitment to Ohio State under head coach Ryan Day is a significant recruiting win. The top-ranked wide receiver, hailing from Opa Locka, Florida, headlines the East squad for the upcoming all-star game.

 2024 All-American featuring top-rated athletes 

Top 2024 high school football talents are set to shine in an all-star game at the Alamodome on Saturday, featuring an exciting East versus West matchup kicking off at noon. Among the standout players is Ohio State commit James Peoples, a skilled running back from Veterans Memorial, who will demonstrate his prowess in his hometown before heading to Columbus. Peoples played a pivotal role in leading his Patriots to the UIL playoffs’ Area Round, boasting over 1,000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

Top-ranked wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, hailing from Opa Locka, Florida, and committed to Ohio State, headlines the East squad for the upcoming all-star game. The roster includes other standout recruits such as No. 14 ranked KJ Bolden, a Georgia Bulldogs commit from Buford, Georgia, along with Ohio State defensive lineman commit Eddrick Houston, South Carolina commit offensive tackle Josiah Thompson, and Florida commit LJ McCray. On the West side, notable talents like Texas wide receiver commit Ryan Wingo, Notre Dame wideout commit Cam Williams, and Oklahoma commit Taylor Tatum add excitement to the lineup.
