The Buffaloes blundered and were punished, brutally. The battle fought at the Rocky Mountains, on a chilly autumn Friday night, recorded new milestones in college football history. While one team celebrated their biggest comeback, the other was shocked with the largest blown lead to date. And no, it was not the undergods celebrating victory this time. Deion Sander?s Colorado gave up on a 29-0 lead at halftime against Stanford, ultimately losing 46-43 during double overtime, before a completely sold-out Folsom Field.?
Coach Prime was visibly rattled and later vocally sounded his shock and utter discomfort, not with the fact that his team lost again, but with the way they lost. His team seemed to simply let go after the second half allowing Stanforf to not only equalise but beat them at what could have been a blowout win for the Buffaloes. Given his son Shilo?s testament to Sander?s dormant rath, how long can Coach Peime force his composure??

?Before you touched the ball, they would run you through tests just to see who was strong enough to go through this,? said the fellow Hall of Famer before alluding to Coach Pat Riely who, ?used to pride himself on making you throw up and quit the workout. Just so he could cut you out.? To which Shilo Sanders bluntly replies, ?Coach Prime does something like that.? Coach Prime is of the opinion that the players today could certainly not match up the harshness or the intensity both endured and exerted by athletes in the earlier eras, ?These kids could not play with them.? ?They were not just playing the game they were trying to hurt you, too,? concluded the new Colorado head coach.?
However, Prime Time who has been known to keep his cool and positive attitude even after defeats, seems to have his patience waning after a disastrous loss to Stanford. He was able to identify the cause behind the loss and addressed it in a post-match interview.?
?I just want people to match me?: Sanders warns teams complacency?
?I?m gonna try my best to stay composed and do the best of my ability to handle this press conference because you deserve my best,? The question boils down to simple complacency. Deion Sanders implored his players to question themselves if they really loved the sport or simply liked it, before going on to explain how important it is for players to love the game that they are playing. ?Because when you love something, you give to it unconditionally. You give everything you?ve got to, but when you like it, that?s just the button you push,? he explained.
