Michigan Wolverines are ranked at number 3 in the playoff rankings currently, and the fans do not like it. As the rumors about the possible punishments for the sign-stealing accusations are escalating, the fans are all in for the discussions. Amidst this, the ESPN analyst Desmond Howard is a hot center for the critics for his standpoint on the matter being different from others.
The Big Ten conference is well into the process of reviewing the situation and deciding on a suitable conclusion. As per reports, Tony Petitti, the commissioner of the Big Ten conference, reported on Monday that the conference is reviewing the Michigan Wolverines’ detailed 10-page response. Which is exactly what Howard wants.

What does Desmond Howard have to say about the scandal?
Desmond Howard, the host of ESPN’s ‘College Gameday’ has a rather differing opinion towards the Michigan debacle. The Heisman Trophy receiver is probably among the few analysts who stand in support of the Wolverines. Conor Stallions, the guy who was kicked out from Michigan University for allegedly retrieving the opposite team’s signs. As per Howard, the Big Ten officials should thoroughly investigate the incident before concluding anything.

“How can anybody think that you should punish somebody before a full investigation is executed?” argued Howard. “It just blows my mind that people are saying there should be punishment before a complete and full investigation.” However, Howard is not the only one standing in solidarity with the ‘conducting investigation’ approach. Eleven members of the Michigan House of Representatives enclosed a bipartisan letter to the Big Ten, calling them to investigate before reaching a punishment.
Fans detest Howard’s approach
The season is nearing its end, and the Wolverines are qualified for the playoffs. However, fans are demanding an immediate solution from the conference as it becomes unfair to other teams if Michigan participates. Additionally, after hearing what Howard had to say, the rage of the fans knew no bounds.
Yet, to make it not-so-obvious, fans went in with a humourous approach. Like this user, who claimed that Howard is reporting fake news from Twitter, humorously, of course.

However, not all adopted a funny way to say things. Many users directly attacked the analyst and questioned his opinions on the matter.

Another user also agreed with the same, calling him ‘blatantly biased’, a nightmare for an analyst.
Get Desmond Howard off my TV he’s so blatantly biased when as an analyst he shouldn’t be.

Users were also questioning his position at ESPN, even requesting the organization to not feature him anymore.
Please stop having Desmond Howard on ESPN to talk about the Michigan scandal. Good grief.
