The spring portal has sprung open its windows for session, and just like the last two seasons, all eyes are on Colorado. Hardly anyone in the league has leveraged the transfer portal as finely as they have, making all the transfers that Prime brought along from Jackson State the norm there. Hence, with the spring transfer portal opening again, Colorado expects the ‘transfer portal king’ to strike again.
How much Deion Sanders charmed the spring transfer portal would only be known at the end of this 15-day window. What fans can confirm, however, is that he is already starting to charm his way into the potential players’ hearts in his Prime way. While he usually prefers to flaunt his haute contour sense or business acumen, Prime decided to show off his hip-hop know-how while promoting CU’s transfer portal this time.

“That PORTAL open like the Red Sea! & @unclelukereal1 said ‘Don’t Stop Get it Get it’,” tweeted Prime, calling all the potential transfers in. Deion Sanders knows that the transfer portal is their strength when it comes to recruitment, and also that it’s their only source to recruit. Hence, he plans to traverse through the 15 days with the “Get it!” spirit in his core.
Another reason for transfer portals in CU being a big deal is Deion Sanders’ unorthodox style of recruiting, one that generated hot takes recently. Sanders refuses to hit the road to make visits to schools to recruit top-notch prospects, which is a standard thing in CFB.

“I want to show them Boulder. I want them to see this and how beautiful it is and why I’m so eager and how much I love this city and this state and this team. I want them to see that because guess what? That’s why the kid is coming,” Sanders said as one of the few reasons for him opting for an unconventional recruiting style. Seems that his strategy is working fine for CU since a good number of players are touted as potential transfers.

Colorado is the name that is expected to balloon most in the spring transfer portal. Per Coloradoan, 2600+ players have entered the transfer portal since July. Since they had a pretty packed first transfer portal window, they are expecting a similar response this time too.
CU Linebackers coach Ander Hart confirms saying, “We have been looking (at the transfer portal) and we have some guys kind of figured out that we’d like to go after if that’s the case.” Names like Andrew Chamblee, Bill Norton, Reuben Unije, and Darvon Hubbard are among the top discussed. Most of them are a part of the offensive line, which will further strengthen the offensive line. The lineup at Colorado would be interesting since the Buffs stacked up offensive players well in the last transfer portal window as well.
