Is Deion Sanders' coaching just hype, or does he truly have what it takes to lead a team?

It’s the break before the action! The Colorado Buffaloes are currently on a break before resuming training activities in late July. And Deion Sanders isn’t letting this time slip away without indulging in what he loves doing best aside from football — fishing.

Deion Sanders usually never gets away from fishing without some big catches which he likes to flaunt on social media. This time, his fishing adventure saw the presence of some of his close buddies Keith Ross, analyst Carl Reed Jr., and pastor Dewey Smith. But the funny thing is that they aren’t thrilled that he’s getting the lion’s share of the catch. Keep reading to know how Coach Prime gets hilariously trolled for celebrating his catches in his own lake.

While Deion Sanders basked in the glory of the best fisherman among the group, his friends had more than one reason to call out his haul. On July 23 after catching an enormous bass on Lake Prime, Deion Sanders proudly flexed his catch on his IG with the caption, “Great 1st half of Catching today… I appreciate KeithRoss, @coachreedlive & my Pastor @edeweysmith for the valid competition and their passion to beat me. “I AM #BASSIEPRIME.” Now that triggered a defensive response from his pastor who commented, “It’s called ‘Home Field Advantage’. Am I right @coachreedlive?! Lolol.” In reply, Reed wrote, “lol truth about the truth.”

If their fishing trip was anything, it was a fun-filled competition full of hilarious banter and casual trolling. Deion Sanders’ spiritual counselor couldn’t help but feel like the competition wasn’t a fair one as he posted on his social media saying, “Our coach REFUSES to play fair!!! Although @Deion Sanders catches EVERYTHING, I did ok for my 1st time in a while.” But if they came to Lake Prime thinking they could beat Coach Prime at his own game, they couldn’t have been more wrong. Did you know his love for fishing is so great it once had him arrested in Fort Myers?

Long before Deion Sanders had his own lake to fish in, he was like any other avid angler looking for every opportunity to catch fish. After getting drafted by the Atlanta Falcons, he bought his mother her dream house in Fort Myers, FL, located near the Southwest Florida International Airport. And to his excitement, there was a nearby lake hidden from the roads where he took his chance to fish.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Deion Sanders' coaching just hype, or does he truly have what it takes to lead a team?

Have an interesting take?

Unfortunately, on one such trip, as he was “catching fish left and right,” Coach Prime was discovered by the authorities who charged him with trespassing airport property and arrested him. He later told Fort Myers News-Press, “I broke the law. I did… I said, ‘Yeah,’ The only defense I have is that I’m sorry, but they were biting.” Nothing stands between Deion Sanders and his fishing passion, not even the law. It’s not often you see a passion so great as his love for fishing.
