Deion Sanders always celebrates others’ wins. Cheering for the ones he cares for is a staple in Coach Prime’s routines. Fans last saw him cheering Devin Hester in his recent Hall of Fame ceremony, where Deion Sanders honored Hester with the golden jacket himself while cheering for him on stage and social media. Continuing the tradition, Deion Sanders took some special time to show appreciation to a fellow Hall of Famer.
Brett Favre, the HoFer who dominated the football landscape for 20 years, marked his 8th Hall of Fame induction anniversary. Favre posted his milestone on his Instagram, sharing it with the world. “Hard to believe it’s already been 8 years since my Hall of Fame induction. I thank God for the talent He gave me, my wife for being a strong support, and my teammates who deserve a lot of credit too. I wouldn’t have been inducted if it wasn’t for their dedication and tough play. Also, to all my fans — thank you for showing up with that #4!” Favre wrote on Instagram, sharing a proud picture with his statue clad in his golden jacket.

Celebrating alongside, Deion Sanders also shared his congratulatory message to Favre, commenting, “Love ya man,” on his post. In recent years, Deion Sanders has been an active advocate in everything related to the Hall of Fame, right from the time he applauded Hester’s much-delayed HoF award to his calling out the selection process of the Hall of Fame committee. After the long fight that Sanders had put up against the HoF, he finally got justice and some praise from the one he had never expected.
Deion Sanders gets praise from his biggest critic
Jason Whitlock, who leaves no chance to criticize Deion Sanders, praised him in a surprising turn of events. The reason was Deion Sanders’ efforts to change the HoF selection process. Per Whitlock and Sanders, HoF was letting in “undeserving players/coaches.” Coach Prime even requested a jacket of a different color because his “head don’t belong with some of these other heads that’s in the Hall of Fame. This thing is becoming a free for all.”

However, coming as good news for Deion Sanders and everyone supporting this, change is just around the corner. Jason Whitlock gave an update on the situation based on his interview. “Today I chatted with Rich Desrosiers, communications officer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He informs me that the HoF board directors will announce adjustments to the selection process soon. The new strategy has been in the works for nearly a year and is not a reflection of the Hall feeling it has let in undeserving players/coaches,” Whitlock shared on social media platform X.
Whitlock also tipped his hat to all the efforts Deion Sanders has put in to prompt this change. “In addition, I’d like to thank Deion Sanders for leading the charge on forcing this change. I have to give credit where credit is due. Deion improved the Hall of Fame by putting his foot down and kicking off a discussion,” Whitlock shared on X. Well, where there’s Deion Sanders, there are revolutionary ideas, with Colorado and now the Hall of Fame being the best examples.
