When asked to pick the better receiver between him and someone whose skills he forged, Deion Sanders needed no second thought to pick the latter. In a conversation with industry giants Skip Bayless and Lil Wayne, Deion Sanders was eager to pick the two-way star player of Buffs as a better receiver than him, even when he is one of the most-talked about multi-talented Hall of Famer. During his career, Sanders played for multiple NFL giants: Ravens, 49ers, Falcons, and Cowboys, where he amassed a total of six touchdowns on punt returns, three TDs on kickoff returns, and nine interceptions for scores.

Yet, he chose Travis Hunter as the better wide receiver than him when he would step into the world of pro-league, which would be in the next NFL draft of 2025. The reason? “Because he’s more natural,” admitted Prime. Initially, Sanders had suffered as a receiver, mainly because of his forte in the defensive back front. “I had to learn how to play receiver, how to keep my shoulders over my knees and all that, I was just flying everywhere. And that’s tough. I had a tough time on quick routes and quick games at certain times,” Prime confessed. However, when it’s about Hunter, “He’s simply a natural at it. That’s who he is.”

Hunter’s precision with explosiveness in handling the ball from both sides was something the world of college football had not witnessed for a very long time. His performance enchanted the crowds at Boulder, making their tickets the most expensive on average among others, yet the ones to get sold out the most frequently. Not to mention, his 23 tackles, 3 mind-blowing interceptions, and 5 PDs making up his defensive forte, and 57 recs for 721 yards and 4 touchdowns highlighting his dexterity on the offensive end of the ball. With the bustling records, Travis Hunter is expected to have teams trying the best they can to secure him when he enters the NFL draft.

ESPN’s Feild Yates believes that both Sanders and Hunter can be the first and second picks in the 2025 NFL draft, and being in the top 10 would be an ‘absolute floor’ for them. Well, looking at their records and popularity amongst the crowd, Yates’ prediction turning true would hardly be a shock for the NFL community.
