So much excitement is set up for the upcoming Colorado Buffaloes spring game! It’s that time of the year again and Deion Sanders is making sure everything is ready before the Black and Gold spring game. The Buffs will begin their spring football practices on March 18 and continue through that week with a break from March 25-31 and begin full-swing practice in April leading up to the game.

Last year, Coach Prime led the Buffs spring game to a sold-out crowd with 47,277 spectators. So this year’s anticipation is understandable. The Buffs will display their skills and progress at Folsom Field on April 27 but that’s not all! Deion Sanders has some creative plans up his sleeves and it’s a whole package of fun and entertainment.

As the Spring game inches closer with each day, Deion Sanders has revealed the exciting lineup for the event on Apple Music. He said, “For our spring game, we are doing a whole Prime weekend. We’re having a fashion show on Thursday… We doing an after party, you know black white and Hispanic DJs. we’re gonna cover everybody. And then after the game, we’re doing something with the Alumni. Also, maybe at the halftime of the game or right at the end of the game, we gonna have SOMEBODY. It’s going down.”

The spring football game will be televised on ESPN. Last season, Colorado sold out tickets for the first time since the ‘80s. This year, the Buffs hope to put on another show for their loyal fans and prove that they are ready to compete for the Pac-12 title and beyond. Aside from the game, Black & Gold Day will also feature a field day presented by Children’s Hospital of Colorado.

Coach Prime stated, “You can smell the meal in the kitchen and it smells darn good. We’ll do a few more things after the spring, but I love where we are.” The Buffs finished 22nd in the overall 2024 recruiting class as per 247Sports, rounding up one 5-star player, 10 4-stars, and 13 3-stars.
