The Colorado Buffaloes, already struggling with a poor 4-7 record this season, suffered another double setback when offensive lineman Talan Chandler and wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. de-committed from the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes respectively. Chandler, a three-star talent from Nevada, Missouri, expressed his lifelong dream of playing for Mizzou, leading to his decision to stay close to home. Watkins, a five-star prospect and cousin of NFL player Sammy Watkins, had initially committed to Coach Prime but later chose a different path.

Chandler, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound lineman, was part of a state title-winning team at Lutheran St. Charles. Unfortunately, Watkins, a top recruit in the 2025 class, has left, leaving quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. as the only recruit. Hill, a top-100 prospect, is considered one of the best NFL-ready quarterbacks in his class.
