Deion Sanders skips his birthday bash for the Buffs—Is this the ultimate show of dedication?

That’s a remarkable display of commitment! Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is no longer excited about his birthday. Who needs a birthday party when you’ve got a football game and a precious season looming around? That said, Deion will be celebrating his 57th-year trip around the sun in the Colorado ‘hood, whipping up the best of the best plans for Colorado.

The Buffs HC already has many interesting things in the program that will keep him entertained and excited for the coming days. Meanwhile, after wrapping up his work in the Buffs camp, Deion now has a new task: performing a grandpa’s duties!

Deion may be excited about his birthday, but the Buffs fans are eager to know about his special day plans. But to everyone’s surprise, Coach Prime is going for a minimalist birthday experience. As captured by Well Off Media, as one of the staff throws him a question about his birthday plans, he comes up with a one-word striking reply, “Work.” And, of course, like most of the fans, it did not sit well with the staff. She further reminded Deion how birthdays are supposed to be, away from daily chores, “You got do something fun.”

To which came a showstopper comeback as for the Buffs HC, “This is fun.” There are no second thoughts on how it takes a lot of courage to turn up for the program even after the disastrous 4-8 season. However, Deion’s serenity comes straight from the end zone. Remorse? No, it’s not in his playbook. Instead, Coach Prime used the transfer portal to bolster his offense and defense and cater to the loopholes that ended his son Shedeur as the most sacked player. Now that almost half the work is done, Deion will likely spend some time with the newest member of the Sanders fam, Baby Que.

Deion gets a heartfelt surprise on birthday

Even after trying hard not to be excited about his birthday, Deion got jazzed up. On his birthday on Friday, Deiondra and fiancé Jacquees welcomed their son into the world. And Grandpa Prime was on cloud nine. The busy Buffs HC spared a moment to share his gratitude, “That’s how good God is, like God would choose me on my birthday, for my daughter, for my kids to have their first child, the first time I’m a grandfather, on my birthday. Do you understand how beautiful that is? How much of a blessing that is?”

Have an interesting take?

It’s extra special for the proud father because Deiondra is the oldest of five children. However, this has been a rollercoaster ride for Deion, who initially was a bit skeptical about being tagged as grandpa. Coach Prime was out for his book promotion, and he got vocal about his feelings.

Deion Sanders was handed a baby hamper during the Today show, congratulating the soon-to-be grandpa. Then came the Buffs HC’s quick reply, “I don’t like that though. I like it because I love my daughter. First of all, I’m proud. She’s 34. She’ll be 34 momentarily. So I’m happy. She’s ready and she’s prepared, and it’s a blessing. But I don’t know if I am ready to be a granddad. Grandpa Prime!” It’s time to see how he holds off on donning the grandpa cape!
