It was just last month that the NFL Draft 2024 concluded and the mock drafts for the 2025 draft have already started buzzing. But Deion Sanders was one step ahead of all the scouting gurus. He had already given his prediction about where his son Shedeur and Travis Hunter would end up. “It’s going to be an Eli Manning,” Sanders had said, believing that the tussle between teams to secure Shedeur and Travis Hunter would be so intense, that the players would get a say in picking the teams they want to go to, instead of the teams picking them.

To cement his belief, Sanders has named the six franchises that would be the perfect A-team for Hunter, per the New York Post. Five of them are undoubtedly the ones Prime played with during his NFL days: Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and Washington Commanders. The plus one is the Philadelphia Eagles. The list sounds good but it can go right down the drain, per Doug Farrar.

Doug Farrar’s mock draft 2025 for Touchdown Wire sees Travis Hunter landing at the Los Angeles Rams in Round 1 at No. 15 overall. Even though Hunter being a first-rounder in the 2025 draft is questioned by many. However, no questions are raised about the caliber he brings to the table. We’re talking Paul Hornung award recipient, Consensus All-American, and the cover athlete on the cover of EA Sports CFB 25 terms, people.

Although, Hunter plays for both sides of the ball, on a very high level for that matter. In fact, Deion Sanders believes Hunter is “a natural” at being a wide receiver. Travis Hunter has been a fantastic WR and a beast of a CB, recording 57 passes for 721 yards with three interceptions in 2023 alone. Now the real question is, will Hunter get the same opportunity Deion Sanders gave him, to play on both sides of the ball, if he gets picked by the Rams? Or will Hunter need to pick his side?

Where will Travis Hunter stand for the Rams?

Drafting Travis Hunter would be an absolute no-brainer for the Rams. Since Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell are set to become free agents in 2025, both these positions can potentially be a chink in the Rams’ armor. Hence, both these positions are expected to be the top priority of the franchise in the 2025 draft. And it would be an absolute celebration for them if they could draft just one player excelling in both these positions.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder brings the perfect amount of size and athleticism to play at both positions. With his explosiveness with the ball on the show during the last season, Travis Hunter could easily be the next Star player for the Rams. Even the caliber to match the playmaking abilities to become the next version of Jalen Ramsey for the Rams.
