Auburn WR transfer Tarvarish Dawson, aka Chick, joined Colorado for the 2023 season after a rather quiet stint with the Tigers. He flipped from Cincinnati to join Deion Sanders because of their bond and their shared hometown connection. His run with Colorado has been filled with ups and downs.

Initially, Dawson showed promise with his performance when he made six receptions for 50 yards in two games. Deion had high hopes for him as he said, Chick has really been in the playbook. He’s a Fort Myers (Florida) boy, so you know I have a vested interest in him. I wanted to see him do well. He’s my homeboy coming from the hometown.” But it looks like things are taking a downward spiral for him.

In a recent post on Twitter, Tarvarish Dawson unleashed his emotions in a short tweet that highlighted his dissatisfaction. He wrote, “It seems like no matter how hard I work or try things don’t go as planned.” The post attracted lots of motivational comments including one from one of Coach Prime’s newest staff members, Devin Rispress himself.

Coach Rispress commented, “It’s called life. Keep working hard and do the little things right.” In his performance against Nebraska, the 5’10 agile WR recorded three receptions for 41 yards and a 30-yard catch and scored a receiving touchdown as well as an eight-yard rushing touchdown. However, he didn’t have much to offer in the later part of the season. This could be one of the reasons he’s letting out his emotions online.

Tarvarish Dawson may have had a fruitful initial season in 2023 but could his lackluster performance in the later part have Coach Prime seeking new players? There will be stiff competition waiting for Dawson this season. He will obviously need to continue proving himself no matter how long it takes. As the saying goes, your time to shine will come eventually. Considering how he’s revealing he’s working hard, perhaps, a little bit of good luck will get him back on track.
