Is Deion Sanders' $200K kitchen strategy a game-changer for the Colorado Buffs?

You gotta be eating well if you wanna push your limits on that field. Looks like Deion Sanders definitely gets the idea, no wonder he got Chef Carl Solomon all set with a $200K kitchen setup. Today on 19th July oThe Pregame Show, Uncle Neely takes us all to explore the kitchen, which feeds the Buffs and the new strategy that they got into place.

With an exclusive behind-the-scenes view and a small interview with Solomon, Neely shows us what’s cooking. “Like, what is, you know, you say you get orders every two days, what does this represent, like cost-wise?” was the first question Neely threw at Solomon. “So all together, we’re looking at about 25 grand of fresh food in here, and that’s going to cycle through every two days. Like you said, probably going to spend about 200 grand just for fall camp,” the chef replied. Now that’s a lot of food and it isn’t a surprise that Deion Sanders is willing to spend that much on it. Also, in the video, fans can see a salad counter for the players and staff and a special ice cream section where anyone can customize their flavor and style. The 2024 seasons mean a lot for the Buffs and this season will also see the departure of Shilo Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, and Travis Hunter from the team as well.

With the hefty cost revealed, even Neely was taken aback. “Just for fall camp alone?” he asked Chef Solomon. “Just for fall camp alone, yeah. 28 days, three meals a day, and a late-night snack. It’s a lot of food. Typical breakfast spread today made to order: grits, oatmeal, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, French toast. We got a croissant sandwich today, which is my favorite. Those are incredible. And all of our typical pastries from Boulder Bread Works. Shout out to Larry at Boulder Bread Works, amazing products, fresh delivered every day,” Solomon replied with a detailed list of what the players and other people for the camp had to feast on for that day. However, this ain’t the only prep Coach Prime has taken for the team.

With CU’s recruitment at its all-time high with players like 5-star Jordan Seaton OT joining the team. It’s safe to say that Coach Prime is not taking any risks this year. Also, Prime has managed to grab Tyler Johnson from Houston and Justin Mayers from UTEP to ensure that Shedeur Sanders stays safe in the pocket. Also for the defense, Deion has focused his attention on the linebacker corps, with LaVonta Bentley, Trevor Woods, and freshman Kyeran Garcia all in the mix and ready to rumble.

Although a lot of eyes are on the Buffs this season, with Paul Finebaum directly claiming that “they won’t make the playoffs.” Deion Sanders and his team have a lot to prove. So let’s hope they get it right this year.
