Can Deion Sanders' emotional plea inspire Shedeur and Shilo to lead Colorado to a breakout season?

“He taught me how the world works”. Deion Sanders has been nothing but amazing. From taking a program that had nothing to put it on the map, while also building an entire empire off of his Prime Time persona. This guy has done it all. Whatever his sons, Shedeur, Shilo, or Deion Jr. are, it’s all because of his motivation and push. And with the 2024 season right around the corner, looks like the big man is already feeling a bit sentimental. It is expected that Shedeur and Shilo will be leaving for the NFL next year.

Now, on July 28th, Deion took to his Instagram to post a heartfelt message about his boys. “GOD BLESS MY Young men on this Journey we’re about to take,” Deion wrote in his posts. Thanking god and wishing kids all the best on their journey, a kind gesture that any child would appreciate from their parents. The Buffs have already worked quite hard for this year’s games. Coach Prime has revamped the O-line of the team to protect Shedeur. That’s not all. Shedeur Sanders has also shown quite an impressive increase in his overall accuracy and performance as well. On the July 29th episode of Pregame Show, Uncle Neely also talked about the improvements. “Better. More accurate. [He was] already passing with 75, 80%, and that’s gone up,” Neely mentioned. The major issue that dragged the Buffs down last season was the overreliance on Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders to carry the team.

While Travis did his best, Shedeur got rocked in the pocket and went on to become the most-sacked QB that season. This year all of that is gonna change. Matt McChesney explained how the team has changed for the better. “All the offensive linemen were helping out at camp, and I felt small, like, I’m looking up with all these motherf**kers,” Matt mentioned. Not only that, even Shilo Sanders, in an interview with Brain Howell, set the record straight. “We definitely have a better chance of winning this year than last year,” Shilo mentioned. While Shilo is yet to see the same hype that Hunter and Shedeur enjoy, it ain’t no doubt that he also can end up being a first-round pick in the NFL draft. While Coach Prime sits there and wishes the best for his kids, fans of the buffs must be more interested in where Shedeur and Shilo would find their new homes.

A new home

The mock draft lists going around have been nothing but wild. The one released by Pro Football Network on July 27th predicted that Shedeur Sanders might end up with the Giants. This list comes from James Fragoza, who went on to praise Shedeur’s overall skills as well. “There is no doubt that Sanders is one of the best QB prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft,” Fragoza wrote. This falls directly in line with what Daniel Jeremiah had mentioned in his scouting report. “He has excellent balance and weight transfer upon release,” Jeremiah had mentioned. Shedeur Sanders has been nothing but amazing with his arm strength and his ability to drive the ball downfield. However, Giants would probably not be his spot. The Raiders, on the other hand, is a solid option for the QB. Keeping in mind the connection Deion Sanders shares with Antonio Pierce (HC for Raiders), Las Vegas would be the perfect home for Shedeur.

For Shilo, however, nothing is confirmed. While Raiders is still an option, he could also land in Bills or Seahawks. Both teams are solid in terms of their defense lineup and the young safety could be a major addition to the roster. Regardless of what happens, what we do know is that the 2024 season is looking up to be something amazing for the Buffs.
