Imagine having a camp worth more than $200 million and your biggest problem is parking issues. Well, it’s something that has plagued Colorado for a while now. Deion Sanders Jr has been one of the few voices who have been pointing this issue out for a long time. Back in June, Deion Jr. had a major rant for the Boulder Police Department. “You really have to be the biggest bomb. The biggest lowlight,” he had stated. This jab was raised because the police department was allegedly booting local vehicles without any proper reason. The police department had decided to take away Bucky’s $300k Rolls Royce because of strict parking rules.

Not only that, even in July, Buck had a major outrage on his Instagram story. “Y’all closed this entire garage? it’s like 200-300 parking spots,” he said while pointing out that CU had closed down all the parking spots around the campus, causing problems for the staff, players, and visitors. Now, on the July 28th episode of Reach the People Media, Interim police chief, Steve Redford, himself has made an appearance and stated some terms to build a proper relationship with the camp. “We absolutely value and welcome you all to Boulder. Boulder is different, you will see that here. Our relationships in Boulder are different when it,” Redford mentioned. The main reason for the visit during the fall camp was the repair the previously damaged relationship because of all the problems that were being caused around the campus. Redford further clarified, “We want you here playing games, being successful. My message to you is we want you to feel welcome here.”

While this is a good sign, this still doesn’t guarantee that the problems that the CU is facing will be resolved. While the university is looking into expanding facilities and working together with law enforcement to ensure a proper process for the athletes, there still have been no updates regarding any form of improvement. And honestly, Bucky wasn’t the only one to raise his voice against this mismanagement.

All the way back in November, Travis Hunter had also raised concerns regarding the problematic situation at camp. “I nееd еvеrybody at Colorado to sее this, bro. I’m tirеd of paying for parking. Can somеbody hеlp mе?” Hunter had stated. Buffs 2-way Star had received multiple parking violation tickets while being on campus. Not only that, Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig had to pay up a massive $3000 fine to the City of Boulder as well.

Well, let’s hope this time, with the active support of the Boulder PD, Colorado will finally be able to figure out something for the players and staff.
