Anything for a Nike Air DT Max ’96! His love for the sneaker is so great that Deion Sanders Jr. has devised a clever plan to convince his father to give him the pair.

Bucky will be traveling soon. But before his trip, he has his eyes on Deion Sanders’ sneakers. To make his plan come true, he even took charge of Coach Prime’s Instagram account to raise his request.

As the story unfolds, the question is: will the doting father, Deion Sanders, part with his multi-color signature for his firstborn? Especially since just a few days ago, he was seen sporting a retro-pair in Alabama?

Deion Sanders often disposes of the duty of managing his social media accounts to Bucky. But hardly did Coach Prime imagine that would cost him his favorite pair! While Deion Jr. was prepping for his trip to Miami, he seemed to not move an inch without putting his father’s Air DT ’96 in his travel bag. The Well Off Media tycoon was skeptical that Deion might dismiss his request, so he worked on a master plan. And EUREKA! He made use of his privilege.

Taking control over Coach Prime’s IG account and posting the picture of the sneakers, Bucky wrote, “I found these in your office, you might as well let me wear these to Miami tomorrow – @deionsandersjr (I asked you on here because you can’t say no in front of everybody).” 

Deion Jr. had his eyes on the pair for quite some time — why wouldn’t he? Until now, the Air DT Max ’96 color combination that the sneakerheads had witnessed was black and white. However, as seen in the picture posted by Deion’s son, the vibrant red stripes stand out on the white-toned sneakers. Bucky was spotted sporting the black-white version while shooting the Nike commercial with his brothers and Deion, and he now wants to turn heads in Miami by rocking this distinct colorway. As the son runs after colors, the father is keeping it simple. 

Deion’s love of vintage opens doors for Deion Jr. to get his preferred pair

On July 28, Deion Sanders had landed in Atlanta for some work. Per ritual, he asked Darius Sanders, who accompanied him during the trip, to share his look before heading to the event. And what a surprise! Known for his flashy style, Deion startled fans with his new look. While he looked dapper in a blazer, when the camera panned to his feet, fans found out that Coach Prime had ditched his Air DT ‘96 for a pair of retro shoes. 

Deion seemed to have taken a U-turn in the game of fashion. While the ’90s style might appear outdated to many, Sanders still has a soft corner for all things old. Thus, for his Atlanta trip, he sported the plain-white colored sneakers with no touch of razzle-dazzle. 

But earlier, the same Deion went head over heels for his Nike Air DT Max ‘96, writing, “The baddest shoes in the game, and I earned my pic in the heel of my shoe game.” Will the pair of retro sneakers come off as the savior in landing Deion Jr. his highly desired pair from his father’s collection?
