Is Deion Sanders Jr. right to be brutally honest about McClain's character? What's your take?

The walls seem to be closing in on Cormani McClain and while the youngster has unbelievable talent, his personality keeps getting in the way of him being a great player. The behavioral pattern seems to be the same during his time with the Florida Gators as it was during his stint with Coach Prime’s team. And now that everyone is out to get his neck, Bucky still has noteworthy praise for him.

Cormani McClain, the Florida Gators’ newest cornerback, is currently being flamed for his attitude problems, which were seemingly the cause behind his reported removal from the team. For McClain’s sake, the reports have been debunked and proven to be false but the conversation about his personality continues to persist. Amid all the friction against the youngster, Bucky has come out to lend support for the former Buffs player in what can only be termed a sweet gesture.

On 17th July, Bucky was part of a discussion on a live video on X, where one of the members there asked him about his thoughts on Cormani McClain. Rather than being petty and sour for the things he had to say about the team, Bucky chose to praise the youngster for his demeanor and the person he really is, besides football. Moreover, with the tensions that are occurring in Florida over McClain’s “attitude” problems, Bucky’s words seem like a rainbow amid a storm for the player.

Bucky chose not to mention any of his attitude issues or his problems with the way Colorado coached their players and said, “He was a cool dude. He had a lot of friends in the locker room. He’s still growing up, he’s still maturing. It ain’t really nothing bad he did. As a person, he’s actually a really cool dude. A good kid.” Thus, despite all the heat that the Buffs fans have for Cormani, Bucky continues to be the bigger person and gives McClain his flowers, while choosing to ignore the controversial exit. With all that said, here’s a look at how the Gators’ coach Will Harris shut down the rumors of McClain’s removal from the team.

Ever since he came out of the war in Colorado, McClain has had a lot of eyes on him as soon as he donned the Gators’ uniform. The 5-star prospect went on to have an amazing reception and a good start with the team but eventually, the problems started showing. McClain was reported to constantly be late and tardy, which became a cause of conflict between him and his teammates. It’s because of his behavioral resistance that the rumors of his exit came out in the first place. Fortunately, the defensive backs’ coach, Mike Harris, immediately jumped to his player’s defense and posted a tweet of his own.

Have an interesting take?

It only took two words from Harris for the entire fire to die down, making McClain a very lucky player since more trolling or hate against him, would be the last thing he’d want on his plate right now. Harris’s tweet read, “Not true!!!” As for now, the crisis has been averted for McClain, but it’s unsure whether he’ll be looking to curb his ways. After the way he’s been acting in Florida, there’s a high possibility that this rumor could someday come true and become a classic, ‘the boy who cried wolf’ story.
