It was a black-drip night for Travis Hunter and his fiance, Leanna Lenne, as the two strutted down the red carpet in Louisville, Kentucky. Travis Hunter was dressed up in a chic black turtleneck, paired with the perfect light brown checkered trousers for the big night. Lenne, on the other hand, was elegantly carrying an all-black gown down the carpet as she posed with Hunter and his family. Hunter, being the star of the evening, wore an ear-to-ear smile on his face, before, while, and after receiving the 2023 Paul Hornung award.

It was on March 9th that Hunter headed to Kentucky with his family to receive the Hornung Award, an honor given to the most versatile player of all NCAA players. As the CU Buffs Instagram page best said it, “Just the beginning for Travis Hunter.” For bringing the all-honored Paul Hornung Award being in the Colorado football club, Deion Sanders Jr, Well Off Media’s owner, had to praise Hunter on his achievement, but in his classic way. “It’s a beautiful thing,” Deion Sanders Jr. said, uttering his signature phrase whenever a Colorado guy brings home a gift for the Buffs.

Sanders Jr first started the trend back in 2023, when Prime first entered the halls of Colorado as their head coach. Those same words were the caption of Sanders Jr. in 2023 as the father-son duo embarked on their journey. Well, it may be almost a full circle that Sanders Jr. is experiencing since this was the first time in Buffs’ history that a player brought the Hornung Award home.

However, the numbers were not the only thing making Hunter the deserving candidate for the award, it was his quality of staying humble, echoing quite loudly from his words on stage and his family’s reactions.
