Good news for Coach Prime and Colorado Buffaloes fans! The Tasmanian Devil has posted on his IG proudly showcasing himself in Colorado uniform following his commitment to Deion Sanders. BJ Green is officially a Buff after his plan to join Washington backfired after their former HC Kalen DeBoer left the program for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Colorado may have gone down last season with a conference-low defense. However, with tough players committing to the Buffs this offseason, it may be a different story this year. Green becomes the sixth defensive lineman to bring his talent to Boulder to play for Coach Prime.

A recent Twitter post revealed that the Buffs just secured former ASU Edge BJ Green who declared his commitment to play for Deion Sanders with one year of eligibility. But the interesting thing is that Coach Prime was his first coach in Atlanta when he was just in his primary years. He said of his experience with Deion Sanders, “That was a unique experience. I think he was the one that probably told me I was going to play defense.”

The 6’1 270-pounder was originally a Washington commit but after a major Huskies roster overhaul, he’s coming back to his people. Green was phenomenal at ASU and was named the second-team All-Pac-12 selection. The new Colorado commit boasts 8.0 sacks, 57 QBP, and 83.4 pass-rush grades.

Coach Prime continues to fortify the Buffs’ defense
Coming in as a strong player with the ability to execute immediate play, Green is a valuable addition to Colorado‘s defense. Given that the Buffs recorded a dreary defense ranking last in the Pac-12 last season, Green’s addition brings them a mix of size, strength, and speed. He’s one of the nation’s top 25 transfers and the third highly-ranked DL to join Coach Prime in the 2024 recruitment.

Coach Prime is steadily building his defense which will soon be put to the test. BJ Green’s latest commitment marks him as the 24th overall transfer to join the Buffs this offseason. Now, as he joins other Buffs’ DLs like Chidozie Nwankwo, Anquin Barnes Jr., Quency Wiggins, Samuel Okunlola, and Taurean Carter, the defense is looking solid.
