It all began in 1993. Soon enough, the Nike Diamond Air Turfs and Deion Sanders became synonymous, with the shoes becoming a part of Sanders’ football uniform. Prime proudly donned the shoes throughout his football and baseball career until 1998 when the shoe giant concluded the series with Air Diamond Turf V. However, they were brought back thanks to Deion Sanders’ enduring popularity. The Nike Air Diamond Turf was the first to return in 2005 and has since seen numerous re-releases.

The saga continues as Deion Sanders is all set to launch his Air Diamond Turfs in iconic colorways. Looking at Sanders’ latest releases, it’s clear that Sanders is on a mission to honor each team he played with by launching a unique colorway in his Nike Air Diamond Turfs. And now comes the moment we’ve all been waiting for the 49ers colorway. Despite only playing for a year with the 49ers, the franchise held a special place in Sanders’ heart. Honoring this part of his legacy, Prime has finally announced the release date of his highly anticipated Nike Air Diamond Turf 49ers.

As Sole Retriever reported, the Nike Air Diamond Turfs in the 49ers colorway will launch in Spring 2025. The upper features a classic white and black combination with vibrant red that compliments the iconic 49ers‘ color scheme. The strap across the forefoot, a signature feature of the Diamond Turf series, has a golden accent and nods to the 49ers colorway. The red detailing on the sock liner and the prominent symbol of Nike in red give the predominantly black and white shoe some statement.

Amidst the launch of the 49ers colorway, Sanders and Co. are busy making plans for future colorways.

During the Super Bowl, Deion Sanders and his family had another important thing to discuss: making Nike Diamond Air Turf in the Falcons’ colorway. Sanders shared some details but carefully traversed through the facts in a way that would not reveal the whole flesh of the concept or the specific colorway.

The highlight of each colorway, however, would be its story. Coach Prime wants each of his colorways to come with its “story.” “I want to associate a story with them. To associate each shoe with a story would be phenomenal,” Sanders confessed. Deion Sanders fans know that Prime has a lot of stories to tell, which is why they expect a ton of vibrant colorways lining up in the future, like the Nike Air DT Max 96 Falcons which are set to release during the holiday season later this year.
