The Las Vegas Raiders have made a significant decision by removing the interim tag from Antonio Pierce‘s position, officially appointing him as the organization’s full-time coach. At 45 years old, Pierce stepped up from his role as linebackers coach after Josh McDaniels was dismissed on Halloween night. His leadership injected new life into the Raiders’ locker room, characterized by celebratory post-victory cigar rituals and a genuine embrace of the team’s ethos, earning admiration from players and alumni alike.

Deion Sanders had earlier shared his support for the new Chargers’ head coach on social media, thanking “all the @Raiders players, fans and Faithful for supporting my Brother.” The two head coaches recently crossed paths, and Coach Prime had a very special request.

In a recent event, Deion Sanders shared the stage with Raiders’ head coach Antonio Pierce. Amidst appreciating and congratulating Pierce, Coach Prime made sure he did not forget to add a personal request. “Now I need you to do one thing,” said Sanders, “I need you to draft those Sanders boys.” “Where they at?” Price joined in the spirit as he looked out for Shilo, who was seated not too far away. As the crowd cheered on, Shilo briefly stood up to face the audience before taking his seat at the table again. Like his brother Shedeur, Shilo too has decided to stay back in college for the upcoming 2024 season.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders remains firm in his stance that his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, will not declare for the NFL draft until 2025. Speaking earlier on The Dan Patrick Show, Sanders reiterated that his sons have no intention of leaving school early this year, stating, “They’re going to come out [for the NFL Draft] at the same time—next year. They’re not trying to leave daddy this year, by the way.” However, whether this decision is in the best interest of Shedeur Sanders’ professional aspirations or simply reflects his father’s priorities in building Colorado into a football powerhouse remains a matter of debate.

While the Buffaloes struggled to a 4-8 record in the 2023 season, the standout performances of Sanders and Hunter garnered attention from scouts and analysts. Unlike the 2024 draft, where a clear top pick emerged in Caleb Williams, the 2025 class lacks a standout prospect. However, Sanders, along with Georgia’s Carson Beck and Texas’ Quinn Ewers, are considered contenders for the No. 1 pick next year. With the 2024 season on the horizon, both the Sanders brothers, Hunter, and other prospects will further showcase their talents and solidify their draft stock.
