Deion Sanders had the much-needed me-time before getting immersed in the upcoming and stressful fall season. And, of course, how could luxury take a back seat when it’s Deion? The Colorado Buffaloes head coach had a lavish vacation in one of the well-known beachside properties in San José del Cabo, Mexico. The ocean-front suite in which Coach Prime stayed cost him $2,904 a night. It was worth every dime and offered a perfect mix of luxury and nature. However, you only learn about what Deion shows. But here is a funny big secret from Deion’s previous visit that was revealed — all thanks to Shedeur Sanders.

The Buffs HC just had to clear his mind before the 2024 season ushers in all that hoopla. And guess how Deion thought to do it? He flew to the serene beach city in Mexico and checked in at Viceroy Los Cabos, an upscale resort. Famed for fabulousness, as Coach Prime gave a resort tour on Instagram, it was hard to resist devouring the breathtaking architecture, world-class amenities, and serene ambiance. But what stood out for Deion was the service. As he bid goodbye to the resort, he shared a thank you note on Instagram on July 28. A touched Coach Prime wrote, “@viceroyloscabos “I’m Coming Back Baby” ! Thank u to everyone on staff that made this visit what it was and thank u for taking care of my Kids when they come as well. #CoachPrime #The$anders @viceroyloscabos.”

The post contained a series of pictures of Deion lounging by the side of the swimming pool and giving a tour of his premium suite, which was connected to an open terrace. Hence, the resort ticked off all the boxes to woo Coach Prime — so much so that the kids stayed at this property in his absence. All these were what Deion knew, and he chose to let us know. But what about the vacation secrets vault? Not to worry, it was Shedeur who opened it for us.      

Shedeur spills the beans on Deion’s favorite suite

On July 27, Well Off Media captured a conversation between Deion and his sons, Shedeur and Deion Jr. As it was a solo trip, Coach Prime was missing his kids and decided to FaceTime them. Hardly did the Buffs HC knew how it would turn the tables against him. While all he wanted was to give a tour of the lavish property, Shedeur let a huge secret slip. 

The Buffs quarterback revealed that Deion chose the same room as the last time. It seems that Shedeur still remembers everything from his father’s last trip to Mexico and staying at Viceroy Los Cabos. When Deion went excited to show off, “I have a goldfish in the pool, real goldfish,” Shedeur dropped in with a hilarious confession: “Just know that Jacuzzi up top, I peed on that.”

What seemed to be all fun was not only about it. As Deion stayed away from the hustle and bustle, maybe he used the solo vacation as the perfect chance to get to know himself and reflect. This getaway will now charge him to rush the field with calm composure.
