The Paris Olympic Trials 2024 saw a record being set at Hayward Field as Quincy Wilson left everyone in the dust. The 16-year-old athlete ran in the U-18 400m at Eugene, clocking 44.66 seconds, which broke the 42-year-old record of 44.69 seconds by Darrel Robinson. Quincy Wilson’s unrivaled performance during the Paris Olympic Trials 2024 is far from the only grand achievement he’s had so far. Last year in March, he shone like a legend at the New Balance National Indoor Games by completing with a remarkable timing of 46.67 seconds. This year, he improved himself by reducing the time to 45.76 seconds. It’s easy to see why Deion Sanders is quite impressed with this truly deserving star. But keeping the Olympics aside, will Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have a successful start to their fresh season?

Deion Sanders and the Buffs are scheduled to meet North Dakota State as their first opponent for the 2024 season on August 29. The Bisons’ impressive track record of 17 National Championships and 37 conference titles in the FCS made many Buffs fans doubt their chances of winning. But at least one analyst has a firm opinion on Colorado’s possible success.
ESPN broadcaster Spencer McLaughlin said on the Locked on College Football podcast on June 23: “I think that for Colorado they are winning this game.” He further explained his reason, saying, “Right now put a gun to my head and make me have a selection here. I’d go Colorado minus 8 and a half because what’s easy to forget about Colorado… Number one they were a better football team with Deion Sanders at the helm and Shedeur Sanders quarterback.” We already know that Deion Sanders’ arrival changed a 1-11 narrative to a 4-8 record. Now that they’ve fixed the holes from last year’s blunders, will it truly be a different season?
