It’s the season of recruitment for the NCAA title. While the top four teams have been decided, the teams are on the hunt for absorbing talented individuals. As per the recent reports, former Buffs’ running back player Anthony Hankerson has now joined the Oregon State Beavers for the 2024 season.

While it’s a disparaging loss for Deion Sanders isn’t miffed about the same. He’s rather hyped up about one of his key players moving forth in his career. This is some great sportsmanship coming in from one of the football’s esteemed figures. Deion Sanders is known for his positive mindset and cultivates a good team culture. Now as one of his RBs joins the Beavers, Coach Prime sent in his best wishes.

Letting go of a talented individual is never a sight that any coach wants to see. But, it’s what needs to be maintained to support the player’s career. For Deion Sanders, he did the same thing. While former Buffs running back player Anthony Hankerson entered the CFB transfer two weeks ago, he was picked up by the Beavers. Coach Prime was amongst the first who shared the news on social media and even remarked- “They’re getting a Dog!!!!”.

Deion has once again set a template for how coaches need to be, supportive and appreciative of their players. For Hankerson, this is a big change as he gets a chance to represent one of the best teams of the last few seasons. Hankerson joins his former Colorado teammate Van Wells at the Beavers. Coach Prime could understand the concerns of people leaving the team and had a message for them.

It’s tough for a coach to see his core set of players leave the team one by one. For Deion Sanders, he was at the forefront of bringing in players through his roster and put forth the best Colorado side. When several Buffs’ players left the team and entered into the CFB transfer portal, many key positions on the roster were left vacant, including the absence of a center player creating some issues.
