The cheetah is the fastest animal in the world, undoubtedly, but in the world of the NFL, he couldn’t outrun the wit of Coach Prime. A controversial opinion from the Dolphins’ fastest WR, Tyreek Hill has had the entire world of football erupt in a frenzy. Surely Hill expected applause and ovations for what he had to say about besting Deion Sanders, but all he’s received till now are heavy laughs and a clapback from the Falcons’ legend himself.

Tyreek Hill, the WR for the Miami Dolphins, drew all eyes on him back in 2012 when he ran a season-best in the 200m with a 20.14-second record, missing Roy Martin’s 1985 high school record by only one-hundredth of a second. The immense speed that Hill showed throughout his career earned him the title of, “Cheetah” but Hill lost a chunk of his credibility when he decided to go for the lion’s head and claim that he could’ve overpowered Deion’s peak form back in the NFL. Deion responded calmly to the absurd claims of Hill and later brought up who he believed was the actual “Cheetah” of the NFL.

After the comments of Tyreek Hill and how he would record 175 yards and 2 touchdowns against the prime version of Deion Sanders, the hosts of the “Million $ Worth of Game” podcast, Gillie and Wallo avoided any speculations and Facetimed Coach Prime to get his firsthand response to such a bold statement.

While video-calling him and trying to see what the Falcons’ legend’s reaction would be, Deion ended all the claims by saying one analogy that had everyone hyped up. Deion smiled and said, “We’re comparing a monument to a moment.” Not sure if the Dolphins’ star would be too happy to be shut down so breezily, but the entire community seems to agree with what Deion had to say, including the hosts of the podcast. On 4th August, Deion’s selfie with Darrell Green showed his stance of who he believes to actually be the fastest player ever, despite a lot of the fans claiming it to be NFL’s Tyreek Hill.

While posing in their all-yellow suits together at the Hall of Fame weekend, Deion captioned the photo with, “The Fastest Man Ever in the @NFL” Thus, it looks like Deion is still an old-school football fan rather than having a preference for the newer generation of the athletes as he ignored the Dolphins’ “cheetah” with not much hesitation. It’s also pretty ironic for Hill to now go on to claim that he could overpower Deion Sanders” ‘Prime Time’ version easily when only last year he was heard talking about how he looks up to the Hall of Famer with heartfelt respect.

The fans seem to believe that Hill’s comments, which drastically underrate Deion’s talents in the NFL, are downright disrespectful and a snide remark about how he actually performed on the gridiron. It’s almost hypocritical of Hill to praise Deion for being such an inspiration in terms of fatherhood but ended up giving him the shorter end of the stick when it came to respecting his NFL career.

During an episode of the ‘It Needed To Be Said’ podcast, Hill went on to talk at length about how Deion is an inspirational figure to look up to when it comes to being a father and a coach altogether. He said, “I follow Deion Sanders a lot, bro. Not only he’s a Hall of Fame football player, but the way he is with his kids, you know, the way he is with his two sons (because I got two sons too), who’s really good at football, and I want to be a coach, and I watched everything that Deion does.” With such high regard for the NFL legend but failure to acknowledge the dominance that Deion showed in his prime, is outlandish behavior from Tyreek Hill and as per the community’s reactions, he might need to accept his arrogance too at some point.
