Is Deion Sanders leaving Colorado in 2025 with Shedeur & Co.? This is not the first time such a question has appeared this year. Deion Sanders is widely known for always protecting his kids and keeping them around wherever he goes. It was particularly evident when Deion Sanders brought Shedeur and Shilo, and his two-way star boy Travis Hunter with him from JSU to Colorado. However, as Shedeur, Shilo, and Travis announced their plan to enter the 2025 draft, and on that note, Coach Prime, during an interview back in February, expressed his plan to “Pull an Eli” Manning situation for the three, it swiftly raised speculation whether he is also planning to join them.

Some critics even labeled his draft manipulation plan as a “helicopter parenting” stance. However, it was all based on rumors and speculations, and we needed an actual answer from the Buffaloes’ head coach himself. And he has just addressed the matter directly.

On the June 24th episode of The Joel Klatt Show, Coach Prime made it clear he is not leaving Boulder or college football. Bringing up his role as a father to Shedeur and Shilo, Deion Sanders added that he is a “real father” not a “baby daddy” who follows his kids around for the sake of their future safety. “I am a leader of men, not a follower of men,” he said. “I lead my sons; I don’t follow my sons.”

He further expressed that, as father and head coach, he has indeed paved the way for his sons’ careers, including Travis Hunter, but to Deion, that does not mean he is making his way through it. “So I plan on being here, and be dominant here because they’re establishing something that we’re going to continue to build on for years to come,” further added the Buffaloes’ head coach. Wеll, this isn’t thе first timе Dеion Sandеrs has rеaffirmеd his commitmеnt to thе Buffaloеs.

Deion Sanders sees a “good ten” in him as a CU head coach

Ahead of the 2024 Spring Game, Deion Sanders was asked a similar question during a press conference, and his response echoed sentiments he later shared on The Joel Klatt Show. “I pave the road for my kids,” Sanders declared. “I do not plan on following them to the NFL.” Moreover, in a previous episode of Well Off Media, Coach Prime openly stated his refusal to entertain NFL coaching offers in the near future, asserting that he plans to stay put for the next decade. “They gonna have to wait about ten years. I got a good strong ten in me,” Sanders firmly stated.

His reasoning? Sanders expressed deep affection for what he’s building as head coach at Colorado. “I love the Big 12, I love everything that we’re doing, I know how to get there. And I’ll be darned if we don’t get there,” declared Coach Prime, outlining his ambitions to strengthen Boulder’s standing as a powerhouse program.

Thus, it is safe to assume that Coach Prime will remain at Colorado for the next ten years, during which time he will undoubtedly elevate Colorado’s football program to become one of the top teams in the Big 12 and the NCAA as a whole.
