Deion Sanders is wearing a badge of accomplishment, with an ‘I told you so’ slyness in it. The cheerful elation stems from the recently released college football attendance rates, and Colorado ranks second on the board! It is a proud moment for Deion Sanders since his 2024 Spring Game festivities couldn’t churn out that much attendance.

After arranging the best of shows and festivities and decorating the Buffs campus almost like a carnival, Deion Sanders expected to at least sell out. They didn’t. Instead, the Buffs sold only 28,424 tickets for the 2024 Spring games, as compared to the ticket sales last season of more than 47,000. Hence, when the attendance for this season rolled in, Deion Sanders was on Cloud 9 after seeing the numbers.

It didn’t take much for Sanders to take to his Instagram stories to share the list, where Colorado was crowned in the 2nd spot with 105.97% attendance. The Appalachian State University sits at the first spot with 115.78% attendance. The numbers at Colorado reflect the efforts the team has put in throughout the season, which gave Prime a pass to shut down each detractor who had been coming at him after his social media comments.

He enjoyed his moment and simultaneously took a jibe at his haters for his infamous “Lawd Jesus” comment. “College Football highest attendance rated! I told ya’ll ‘We Coming’ Lawd Jesus ‘We came’!” Deion Sanders boasted on his Instagram story. While Sanders is pretty confident that the new Colorado he pledged about in September 2023 after a humbling season end through his “We Coming” statement, might finally be just around the corner.

2024 Spring game’s performance shows promise for Colorado?

Everything is going opposite to Deion Sanders’ expectations this season. While they expected the footfall in the 2024 Spring Game to be more, it turned out to be dramatically less. The performance, which the fans expected to be average, shunned everyone. While the final year students like Shedeur and Travis have refined their skills, the newer faces at CU, like LaJohntay Wester and Jordan Seaton, have bolstered up the defense pretty well.

With the transfers lining up, the offense looks much more fortified, while Wester is proving to be an absolute beast in the defense. Safe to say, Shedeur Sanders won’t have to be the Nation’s most-sacked QB anymore, thanks to the improved defense. But can this renewed Buffs team win games in the regular season? Only that will measure their true gridiron excellence.
