Last season did show Deion Sanders the worst of the worst times. The fans along with the team are still not over the trauma of the 1-8. To add to the Buffs’ woes, it was Coach Prime’s son and the Buffaloes’ quarterback sensation who ended up with a high sack percentage. All these accumulated added up to enough reasons why the Buffs HC feels jitters. However, Deion being Deion, not letting any factor to get the better of him is now set on a new mission. As pointed out by Borba, “The biggest storyline of them all is Coach Prime is kind of under pressure in the sense that he wants to contend for something this is his year to show that he can make it work in Boulder”.

It was after that Borba pointed out the source of the high expectations that Sanders is subjected to. “I think two years to judge a coach that’s taking over a program that was 1 in 11 and one of the worst in college football for the past decade that’s a lot of pressure”, claimed the host. During his journey to prove himself, Coach Prime has some motivation to bank upon which is the statement “SOLD OUT”.

The selling-out situation happened for the second straight season and the 10th time in the program’s history. It all started during Deion Sanders’ debut season as the HC. This shows that the excitement is real as fans could not let go of witnessing the historic performance. Wondering why is it historic? The Buffaloes will be returning to the Big 12 for the first time in 14 years. Additionally, CU’s home schedule will include five conference games as it returns to the Big 12 which might have acted as a catalyst to boost the sale.

More than the Big 12 craze, Buffs fans are eager to witness Deion Sanders waving his magic wand over the newly revamped roster. Plus, now that Cormani McClain and Xavier Smith questioned his coaching capabilities, it is now to be seen how the Buffs HC gains back his esteem.
