The vocal Deion Sanders has been quiet lately, especially regarding his daughter Deiondra Sanders. Deiondra got engaged on July 14 and is expecting a baby boy soon, but Coach Prime has said little publicly. Deiondra, on the other hand, has been documenting her journey on social media. 

She recently shared stunning photos from a maternity shoot, in which she glows in a black outfit while her fiancé poses beside her in a classic white-and-black combo. The caption? “Living life unfiltered,” letting the pictures by Atlanta photographer Brandon Tackett speak for themselves. This follows another maternity shoot from Tackett, in which both Deiondra and her fiancé were draped in white.

Deiondra has received love and support from her fiancé, Jacquees, who left a black heart emoji in the comments, and her mother, Carolyn Chambers, wrote, “Beautiful… It’s about that time!👼🏽.”  The 33-week pregnant Deiondra responded, “thank you mommy! Yes I know.”

While Deiondra celebrates her upcoming milestones, the silence from her father is quite noticeable here. This past month has been joyous for Deiondra — the double maternity shoot, the baby shower, and the engagement. Now, it was during her baby shower Jacquees surprised her by popping the question and presenting her with a diamond ring. Despite the surprise, many, including Bucky, Shilo Sanders, and even Deion’s ex-wife Carolyn, were present at the shower. However, Deion Sanders wasn’t and hasn’t publicly congratulated the couple on social media.

However, Deion seems excited about becoming a grandfather, as he’s been hyping up his grandson.

Deion Sanders turns hypeman for Baby Que

Forget Coach Prime, Grandpa Deion is here! When it comes to his soon-to-be-born grandson, Deion Sanders turns a hypeman. Back in March, Deion might have joked he was “too young” to be a grandpa, but he quickly warmed up to the idea, even giving the baby the nickname “Lil Engine.” Deiondra’s social media has been all about the baby, too. From shower pictures captioned “A perfect day” to updates on her growing baby bump, Deiondra is clearly excited.

But Deion is not far behind! He commented on Deiondra’s baby shower post with a supportive “My baby gon get HERS!! Proud Dad,” showing his excitement for “Baby Que.” The fun doesn’t stop there. Last week, Deiondra even posted her growing baby bump with the caption, “this @whatwaistofficial Miracle band has been my best friend!” She seemed excited to use the durable What Waist Bands for her heavier baby.

Soon, Deion jokingly hyped up “Lil Engine’s” future career, saying, “The baby Got a NIL ALREADY! Dang Lil Engine ballin already.” So, while Deion might be quiet about the engagement, it seems “Grandpa Deion” is more than ready to welcome “Lil Engine” into the world, even with the Big 12 season approaching.
