Deion’s recovery process after undergoing severe surgery for the blood clots in thighs

The Sanders family has a long history of blood clots in the family and when Deion went to get a blood test, it was actually proven that he had had it. He underwent over 11 surgeries to help him restore his legs to a healthier condition. Soon after, he was seen jogging and trying to recover so he could come back to the gridiron his usual self.

When Deion was asked about his surgery, he said, “It was different, because it wasn’t just this. I’ve got two cuts right here. I’ve got 21 stitches right here, on both sides. Now the blood flow is great. I was hurting so bad because I wasn’t getting any blood flow down there over the last year. That’s why I was hurting … and walking crazy.” As the next season approaches, the 56-year-old will have to work on his recovery so the fans get to see him running through the tunnel.
