Looks like 2024 is shaping up to be Colorado‘s year! Why? Whilе othеr NCAA football programs arе focusеd solеly on gеaring up for thе fall sеason, Dеion Sandеrs and his tеam at Colorado arе prеparing somеthing morе than just thе gamе itsеlf for thеir fans. A few weeks ago, Colorado football surprisеd еvеryonе with a unique initiativе: adding a youth football camp for young kids right at CU.
Not to mention, rеgistration linеs floodеd thе еntirе campus. Thеn, thеy еvеn followеd it up with a Spеcial Olympics camp hеld at thеir facility. Now, within weeks, Dеion Sandеrs and Co. are introducing another еxciting addition this year: the Women’s Clinic at Colorado football!
Deion Sanders is a man of respect, and he holds tremendous regard for women. Whether on the field or off, the Buffalo head coach always prioritizes protecting the women around him. Now, to officially honor all the women involved in the CU football program, Sanders has introduced an annual Women’s Clinic at CU. On June 25th, Thee Pregame Show Network showcased Colorado hosting their Women’s Clinic at the football facility, kicking off with a coaching staff introduction meeting.

“Welcome to CU football,” Coach Prime said, starting the campaign. “This is our first annual CU football Women’s Clinic, but we’re gonna call it a Five Star Clinic because, in our world, we rank the quality of a prospect by stars, with one being the least and five being the most.” Honoring the female workers as five-stars, the staffer then addressed the coaching staff to introduce themselves. As shown in the video, everyone from OC Pat Shurmur to quality analyst Warren Sapp introduced themselves. Notably, this initiative was introduced after Deion Sanders clarified his expectations from the Buffaloes regarding women staffers last season.

When Deion Sanders first arrived at Colorado football, he made his expectations clear regarding the program’s female staffers during his initial team meetings. Gathering all the female CU football staffers together, Deion Sanders addressed his team, emphasizing the importance of being “courteous” and “gracious” around them. “One thing I don’t condone is disrespect for a woman,” declared Coach Prime. “And calling a woman out of her name. So when you pass by these beautiful young women, I would say ‘ma’am’.”
He further added that if any of his players commit or have a previous record of abusing women, they will be dismissed from the program with no second chances, regardless of who intervenes. “Don’t call me, don’t have your momma call me, and don’t call Rick [George]. It’s a wrap,” added Coach Prime. “We’re gonna respect our women wholeheartedly.” By setting such standards, Coach Prime is not only ensuring discipline but also creating a culture of respect and integrity that extends beyond the football field.
