Deion Sanders Declares Deiondra as His No. 1 Kid, Alleged Feud With Shelomi Seems Real as She Is Left Out

How hard it must be for Deion Sanders to be a father of five and choose his favorite kid? This happened in the gym when Shilo and Shedeur pestered their father to pick his favorite. What surprised them was Coach Prime choosing Deiondra to be his favorite child. But what was even more surprising, Deion Sanders called himself a father of four kids instead of five.

As Deion Sanders, in a conversation captured by Well Off Media, listed his three sons and daughter, Deiondra, the absence of Shelomi raised eyebrows. Was it a mere slip of the tongue, or does it hint at the reported feud brewing between her and her father? 

A sneak peek into the Sanders family dynamics

Gym sessions are always fun with the Buffaloes, but not only for once did the Buffs fans anticipate this moment. Deion Sanders has always been a proud father, keeping all five of his children afloat in this rough world. However, this mid-gym break came up with a totally different story. Surrounded by his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo, he threw a question, “You have three-four kids right now…who’s going to be the first one of y’all kids?” Shilo did not wait for a second and came up with his immediate reply, “What do you think out of me, Shedeur and Bucky? The first one is Deiondra already for you”.

Interestingly, Deion Sanders sweetly agreed to Shilo’s claim as he said, “Got a baby girl is 33 34 so she could have a child she had a good run out of y’all three (gives a smile and a pause).” But fans kept on finding the reason Coach Prime left out Shelomi. 

Shelomi decided to go her own way

Till March, everything seemed fine as Shelomi followed her dad’s steps to wherever he went. Hopping from Jackson State University to Colorado Buffaloes, the basketball prodigy was under Deion’s umbrella until she walked her own path. In April, Shelomi declared that she would hit the transfer portal, and later, she committed to Alabama A&M. 

This was a massive blow for Deion Sanders, who always curates every step his children take in their careers. Now that Shelomi has left his nest, this might have led to a bitter relationship between the father and daughter. But what further added to the bitterness was Shelomi being more influenced by Deion’s ex-wife, Pilar Sanders. The basketball player was spotted collaborating with the hotel giant Marriott Bonvoy a few days back. The collaboration came with the financial success of a partnership with Shelomi.

As Deion Sanders is considered the first to endorse his kids and their successes, Shelomi received silence from her father. While obtaining her father’s support is a far-fetched dream for the basketball phenom, she no longer finds a place in Deion’s list of kids.
