Shelomi Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes WNBA team earned a reason to celebrate after a dominant Pac-12 win over the Oregon Ducks on March 6, 2024. The game set multiple records in the program’s history with Brian Howell reporting, “Today’s 49-point win against Oregon was the largest margin of victory for Colorado WBB against a conference opponent since a 50-point win against Iowa State in 1993.”
Shelomi Sanders still has time to prove herself as a standout athlete with the Buffs. Since her arrival, she has played in five games for a total of 11 minutes. Two minutes of this went to the last game where she made a rebound. But although she sat on the sidelines for the remainder of the game, the 79-30 victory is a big reason to celebrate. And Pilar Sanders isn’t about to let this grand win go off without a little IG celebration.
Pilar Sanders just claimed the good parent title for Shelomi Sanders while Deion Sanders was away with the boys at practice. She recently took to IG to flaunt her athlete daughter after her basketball game by posting a chic video of herself and the youngest Sanders to the tune of Cardi B’s “Like What.” She captioned the post, “After the game with My lil baddie baby.”

This isn’t the only time Pilar Sanders showed up at her daughter’s game to support her. She had been present in most of Shelomi Sanders’ games this season including the time when the Buffs women’s basketball team triumphed over the Oregon Ducks 90-57 in February. And she never misses the opportunity to steal the spotlight with her celebratory posts after her daughter’s achievements in Colorado.
While Deion Sanders would’ve loved to be part of the game, he couldn’t get off his practice sessions with his sons Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders and the Buffs with the spring football season fast approaching.

Ending last season 4-8 isn’t something Deion Sanders expects to repeat. His aim for the season is to clinch a playoff appearance as his recent statement suggested, “Hold each other accountable. We want to work like a playoff team and that’s what we have. That’s what we’re at and that’s what we got. Ain’t no ifs and buts about it.” Surely, this season is something to look forward to if you’re a Buffs fan.
