The son of Deion Sanders has had his whole world go topsy-turvy ever since the social media controversies came to light. Shedeur’s name has been dragged through the mud constantly for his arrogant take that he usually leads with on X, but as per Uncle Neely, the QB is bringing his A-game to the 2024 season.
It all started when Gavin Kuld, who recently left the Buffaloes, implied that Shedeur was selfish with his NIL earnings. This prompted the QB to fire back, as he usually does, and write, “I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld I’ll spare you only this one time?“ His comments added to the claims of being a poor leader since he also spoke arrogantly about the exit of Xavier Smith a few weeks ago. But as per Neely, the Shedeur that will make his appearance on the gridiron is going to be a great leader, unlike anything seen before.

On the June 4th episode of the UNKandChico show, Big Dog Chico and Uncle Neely engaged in a lengthy conversation with each other while discussing all things related to the Colorado Buffaloes. They were seen discussing the new coaching staff under Deion and later arrived on the topic of Shedeur’s leadership qualities, which, according to public opinion, have been disgraceful in recent times.

As per Neely, Shedeur’s leadership and his presence both on and off the field are something to admire greatly. Shedeur’s social media life may be in shambles, but he means “business” when he steps onto the gridiron, as every great football player should.

Several doubts in the college football world have been raised over Shedeur’s lack of leadership ever since his strong words for Gavin Kuld, but Neely still stands behind him, strong as a rock. Even though Neely’s praise of Shedeur’s attributes can be believed, his prediction about both Sheduer and Travis’ Heisman future might need a lot more substance before deeming it true or false.
Shedeur and Travis will be the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy
In the same sentence where Neely appreciated Sheduer’s personality traits, he made a bold prediction when he said that Shedeur and Travis would be the favorites to win the trophy this year. Hunter has been stirring up waves with his appearance on the College Football 25-game cover and being a projected top-10 pick for the 2025 NFL Draft, and as such, he is also touted to be at the forefront of all the other contenders for the Heisman trophy.

But when it comes to Shedeur, things are way different. The fans have developed a keen dislike for him due to the social media beef and arrogant comments, which have severely affected the reputation he held in the 2023 season. Yet, Neely still chose to be optimistic about Deion Sanders’ son and said, “I’m predicting that you’re going to have Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, both at the downtown athletic club in New York City, sitting shoulder to shoulder, and one of them is going to walk away with the Heisman trophy.”
Neely may have made an accurate prediction for Travis Hunter, but so far, there’s not been a lot of speculation about Shedeur lifting the trophy. Thus, this season is more important than ever for the QB since he has one last chance to prove his worth before he moves on and steps into the world of the NFL.
