At a point where all college programs come together, the Colorado Buffaloes have always stood out. Now that college football is changing with every passing day, they have just dropped a new change: implementing an injury rule that will be brutal. However, Deion Sanders and his program will not have to pay any heed to it as they have got it all sorted.
On the DNVR Sports podcast, hosts Jake Schwartz and RK have come up with their blueprint of why the rule change will turn out to be an advantage for the Buffs and how Shedeur and Co. will not get any better protection. All kudos to their more than a hundred years of NFL experience in the coaching roster.

Going by the recent hints, the SEC could be mandating injury reports soon in a way that aligns with the rise of legalized sports betting and the desire for accurate information regarding player statuses. RK and Schwartz find it to be a good enough reason to take up on their podcast and their analysis came in the light of Colorado. While they sailed through making an assumption about how this change is going to favor Deion Sanders’ Colorado, RK threw his co-host a question, “What does Colorado’s coaching staff have over every other coaching staff in the country?” To which came Schwartz’s instant reply, “NFL experience.”
As RK moved through the way to find an answer, he came up with the next question: “What does the NFL have that college football doesn’t have?” While his co-host struggled to find an answer, RK again gave a clearer picture. As per his analysis, “Injury reporting. These guys who have been in the league and been in the NFL for a long time are incredibly well versed in how to exploit understanding who is going to be in and who is going to be out.” Deion Sanders, too, counts on his coaching roster as, on one occasion, he motivated the players with an interesting anecdote.

Deion Sanders trust on 127 years of NFL experience and his ‘Gold Jackets’ coaching roster
Coach Prime’s coaching roster has multiple ‘Gold Jackets’ that he boasts of. While giving out a vocal tonic to the Buffs, Sanders stated, “So you got 127 years of NFL experience in this room been there done that. You could glean from anybody that everybody’s here is an asset. Helping you to get to where you want to go.” Buffs’ quarterback sensation Shedeur Sanders ending the last season with the tag of “most sacked player” might be a reason for concern for father Deion.

But not to worry, even if the college football implements the injury reports, the coaches have already walked on the road of thorns and know how to clear the obstacles. The coaches Shedeur and his mates can count on are Warren Sapp and Pat Shurmur. The Pro Football Hall of Famer, Sapp joined Sanders’ Buffaloes as a grad assistant. As far as his experience is concerned, he has spent 13 seasons in the NFL. Buffs OC Shurmur coached for 21 seasons in the NFL for a long tenure.
Not to forget Robert Livingston, the new DC who started as a scout for the Cincinnati Bengals and made a winning record in two of the past three seasons, a Super Bowl run included. Even though Deion Sanders upgraded his coaching staff with NFL experience reigning high with the only motive of making it to the Big 12, it is now to be seen how this upgrade gels in case injury reports get implemented in cushioning Shedeur Sanders and tribe.
