CU football selling out two seasons in a row—Is Deion Sanders the best thing to happen to CU?

Deion Sanders is all about CU! All the rumors claiming that Sanders only cared about his sons in the Colorado team have been finally quashed with this move. The fans know what the value of a ticket to a home game of Colorado is for a Buffs fan, especially the Buffs fan who has graduated from and even played for the team once. However, it was just mere minutes when the tickets to home games flew out of the shelves on the Buffs website, both this year and in the previous year.

Hence, to both honor the students studying at Colorado University and give them a special advantage over others, Deion Sanders and Co. have come up with their annual sports passes once again! Taking to their official CU Buffs Instagram account, Deion Sanders and Co. shared an update on their story, stating that the Buffs student passes would go on sale from 10 am mountain time on 10th July.

By claiming this student sports pass, the enrolled student in the Buffs would not only get to have access to the available quota of home tickets for Colorado football and men’s basketball, but they would also get free access to women’s basketball games, and also for soccer and volleyball games of Colorado’s team.

Despite selling out, Deion Sanders had reserved some special tickets for the Boulder students. This was Prime’s way of telling people that he was there to stay in Colorado, by thinking about it for the long run, his indirect way to quash the rumors of him leaving Colorado once his sons move to the NFL.

Deion Sanders is here to stay for the long run.

Well, the O-line beast at Colorado, Jordan Seaton, has already confirmed that “Coach Prime’s going nowhere.” If the words are not enough, Deion Sanders’s actions already speak louder than his words. It was in April 2024 that the CU students got an earful from Coach Prime because of disciplinary issues in their classroom.

Deion Sanders received an email from the professor at Boulder, complaining about the students not being committed enough to their academic courses. Deion Sanders almost immediately called a meeting and scolded each one of them, and asked them to get serious about their studies then.

Fast forward a few months to June 2024, when Deion Sanders’ team got into the limelight for having a communication gap. To solve it, Prime said ‘No phones while having breakfast and lunch’ and banned the use of phones in the cafeteria. To ensure that this is being fulfilled, Prime also introduced a locker for the kids to lock their mobile phones away while having their food so that they can connect with others. All of this, plus the improvement the Buffs players have seen on-field, make Deion Sanders one good head coach.
